Is this book mostly for the collector of factory configured M70's or does it go into details of design, theory of operation and good things and bad things to do for a custom rifle project? It's a bit pricy ( $125 from Amazon.com) but if it can guide me away from doing stupid things as I lay out what I want for a custom rifle it could save me money in the long run.

Thanks,
Dennis

I have the book and didn't pay anywhere near that price. The book is a history of the M70. I use it as a referance as I'm fond of pre 64 M70's.

So it's more for the collector?

Thanks

This is a little old, but I'll wade in. To answer your question; yes, it is primarily for the collector and or M70 historian. You should be able to do better than $125.

Thanks Glen. I'm not so much the collector so I think I'll pass on this book. I would like to find reference dealing with the mechanics of the M70. Any suggestions?
