dSmith.45"The Rifleman's Rifle" by Roger Rule
Is this book mostly for the collector of factory configured M70's or does it go into details of design, theory of operation and good things and bad things to do for a custom rifle project? It's a bit pricy ( $125 from Amazon.com) but if it can guide me away from doing stupid things as I lay out what I want for a custom rifle it could save me money in the long run.
Thanks,
Dennis

Rich AndersonI have the book and didn't pay anywhere near that price. The book is a history of the M70. I use it as a referance as I'm fond of pre 64 M70's.

dSmith.45So it's more for the collector?
Thanks

Glen71This is a little old, but I'll wade in. To answer your question; yes, it is primarily for the collector and or M70 historian. You should be able to do better than $125.

dSmith.45Thanks Glen. I'm not so much the collector so I think I'll pass on this book. I would like to find reference dealing with the mechanics of the M70. Any suggestions?
