I think you are talking about the ATN scopes. Not really a Gen 2 scope, it uses a electronic photosensor and the computer changes the IR light to something visible in the scope. I just got one from Brownells. It was $600. What the heck, its $600. Cheap for NV. I am not sure yet how well it works at night, but some of the reviews are less than stellar. It appears that the strength of the IR light source is the main determinant for how far you see at night. It also has all kinds of computer attachment stuff so you can see what the gun is doing remotely. It will probably be a good tool for teaching new shooters to read the wind, etc. | |||
