nra convention had anew digital coming out. 4-12 with color screen in daylight and 2+ gen night vision. dealer cost was about 460 and retail 600, they have 500 already out there and more on the way

I think you are talking about the ATN scopes.

Not really a Gen 2 scope, it uses a electronic photosensor and the computer changes the IR light to something visible in the scope.

I just got one from Brownells. It was $600. What the heck, its $600. Cheap for NV.

I am not sure yet how well it works at night, but some of the reviews are less than stellar. It appears that the strength of the IR light source is the main determinant for how far you see at night.

It also has all kinds of computer attachment stuff so you can see what the gun is doing remotely. It will probably be a good tool for teaching new shooters to read the wind, etc.

Will be most interesting to see a direct comparison with the Digiscope. How about a link to the Brownell's listing?

Sure wish thermal was affordable!
