I leave for Kyrgyzstan in the AM - going after Mid-Asian Ibex with 3 close friends. I've been hiking, shooting and testing gear all summer in anticipation of this trip, so hopefully a big billy is there waiting for me!

Should be quite the adventure, really looking forward to it. I'll post a full hunt report upon my return.

Godspeed and good luck!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Thanks very much guys, hoping for something special but it's a "new" area so I'll have a better idea of what to expect when I'm there. Should have a report up around Labor Day!

Have a great trip, Ibex were everywhere when I went last Oct. Only a few miles from Chinese border. Got to see the border. Could have shot many more than the 2 I did.
But "No Mountains for Old Men". I did it once climbed to 16,200, but would never do it again. Might not make it down. Have a safe trip.
