Probable New world record Tian Shan Marco Polo found in Krgyzstan
Renaud my partner who arranges our Asian hunts and who has filmed some of those great videos you may have seen, has just returned from Krgyzstan. He just sent me these photos of what is likely to be a new world record for Tian Shan Marco Polo!

It was discovered by our local guides in the hands of some shepherds who probably hunted it for meat from last year! It came from the Djany-jer valley, where we do our Marco Polo hunts.

Renaud estimated it at 11 years old, and measured the horns at 162 cm (63.77")and 172 cms (67.72") respectively.

If anyone is interested in Tian Shan Marco Polo, we still have a couple of open spots for this year and next. Word is that, for this coming season 70 permits will be issued in Krghyzstan for Tian Shan Marco Polo and if someone decides to hunt this year we should still be able to get your name on the list sent to USFW by the Krgyz government, this is imperative so that USFW can issue a CITES import permit.

Amazing! Makes me consider taking an oxygen deprivation cardiac stress test to see if I might survive the conditions!

Unreal. I never knew the Kyrgyz MP could grow to such proportions. Amazing.
Good to see Renaud made it back from his trip. He let me know before he left that he had received our paperwork to take with him to sort out our visas and gun permits.

Call me upon your return, Arjun. And thanks for sharing those pics.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
