"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

@Patricio
Wow, looks like you guys had an excellent hunt.

P.S. Tell your friend "Birdtaxidermy" he needs to brush up his duck id skills....

Your friend wrote:
one of our duck hunts was a collecting trip for Anas Diazi, one of the three recognized Mottled duck Species

Anas Diazi is a sub-species of Mallard..NOT a sub-species of the Mottled Duck.

@collector, we had that argument 7,345 times at least, I have told him time and again however he still believes its a mottled duck, where as its really a subspecies of mallard..........

We actually shoot quite a few of them at my place outside mexico city....

Shane is actually a very good taxidermist, look him up.....

Good hunting south of the border, but it's extremely dangerous for Americans. Mexican drug gangsters kill Americans just for sport. Most of the hunting operations have shut down. U.S. State Dept. has advised Americans not to go to Mexico.

Waiting with baited breath to hear the response to the above post...

It is a serious concern at present, and I'd appreciate any insight into the situation.

P.S. Nice can, Oz. Wink

@swapshooter.... really? "mexican drug gangsters kill americans for sport" Dont you think they have better things to do like actually sell and traffic drugs, or do you think they just sit around all day waiting for americans to kill????

I find that blanket statement about the whole country pretty ignorant, just like any other country or any other city in the world , there are definitively bad parts and good parts, and that is where you have to do your homework and do some research.... Are there parts of mexico where I wouldnt go right now? absolutely...... Are there parts of mexico where I wouldnt hesitate to go right now, absolutely......

It is all in knowing where and with who you are going. I would definitively stay away from the border and would also not go walking around at 3 am with a gold rolex on my wrist and a wad of cash in my hand, but then again I wouldnt do that in any US city either......

I agree some hunting operators have shut down, however you must look at the areas where they are located, I am guessing the northern part of tamaulipas and durango.......

I wouldnt hesitate to go again or to send anyone to the area where we were hunting....

@collector..... figured you would know him..... now bust his balls about the mottled/mallard discusion jajaja
