I get physician/patient privilege. There can be a lot of things in medical records that might be embarrassing or irrelevant or just not anybody's business.

But, your vaccination status? Why would an employer not be entitled to know about that? I work in an office with 50 other people. Vaccination status is relevant, is it not?

1 HIPAA explicitly protects my health data from anyone, including current and potential employers.

1a why didnt i get this therapeutic? Several reasons, the primary being i had already had the disease that they were using to make a short testing runway vax. Subtext, a vax is meant to simulate the disease to trigger an auto immune response, I already had that response

3 people going to work sick? Happened every day, as in office employers are notoriously bad about people taking sick days for less than surgery.

4 I was trim, active, and healthy, with no comorbidities when this all started. No reason on earth for me to take such a risk, as an otherwise healthy and robust person was basically immortal when getting it

And much later, vaers shows that the therapeutic was barely worth taking for the returns

Oh ,and like nearly everyone, when the proteins mutated enough, I got it a second time. Had the sniffles a couple days and lost my sense of taste for a couple weeks

well, HIPAA -- as in my employer DEMANDED to know my vax status, and i (in the unique position of being the reg and framework expert in the company) told them to pound sand, as that's a hipaa violation. but hipaa is an administrative control, rather than preventative , which means it's a fine, not a stopper - the conversation with my GC was pretty brief, and we decided that "requirement" would change to "request - without consequence" - and i STILL refused to tell if I had had the shot, though i did stipulate that I had already has the disease - inferring natural immunity to THAT strain of the disease - when the virus attenuated into a different stream, i caught "covid" again - both times diagnosed, as it, like the clot slot, only protected against a CERTAIN strain of proteins (good lord, i am not type out what all that MEANS)

Can I just ask you, my friend....why would you not want your employer to know your vax status?

I get physician/patient privilege. There can be a lot of things in medical records that might be embarrassing or irrelevant or just not anybody's business.

But, your vaccination status? Why would an employer not be entitled to know about that? I work in an office with 50 other people. Vaccination status is relevant, is it not?

If you're in my office working in close proximity with everybody in the office and you haven't been vaccinated. I mean....that's a relevant thing. Is it not?

And, save the "well, if everybody else has been vaccinated, why does it matter" argument that I keep seeing on here. Infants who haven't had vaccinations can be infected, etc. All the children who haven't been vaccinated come into contact with other folks all the time.

I just can't understand the argument. Vaccines are effective. There's no supportable science that supports the assertion that they are harmful. There just seems to be nutjobs like RFK, Jr who seems, at least based on what I saw the other day, unable to articulate a reasonable basis for resisting vaccinations.

Republicans have lost their fucking minds. And, are catering to the nut jobs in their party. And, apparently, there are a lot of them. Sh!t, trump is president. That sets the nutjob precedent right there.

1a why didnt i get this therapeutic? Several reasons, the primary being i had already had the disease that they were using to make a short testing runway vax. Subtext, a vax is meant to simulate the disease to trigger an auto immune response, I already had that response

Jeff, I'm still not understanding why you wouldn't want folks to know what vaccinations you've had if you're putting yourself in a position of exposure to other folks. Tell me again. Maybe, I'm just too stupid to get it.

my vax status is FEDERALLY protected information - my employer has NO STATUS to demand it - none, none what so ever .. remember that "if it's so important, change the law" rubbish?

oddly enough, I was in JD today, and the pro bono asked my why i refused to answer "some questions on my APPLICATION" - the judge was in stitches, then let me go --
1: it wasn't an application, it is a questionnaire
2: who is my employer has no bearing on my status as a jurist
3: my wife isn't involved in this conversation, i will not answer for her
4: i didn't refuse to "answer" the invasive questions- in fact, i answered them, ya'll just didn't like the questions
5 ish: the judge (who i've voted for since 2016) asked me "why i was resistant to answering thes questions .. i responded "i am a cyber security expert. These are privacy questions, covered by many statutes, including HIPAA and GLBA" ..

i have ZERO requirement to answer questions to make others "feel better" when bob or sally are at work with stomach flu, because their boss is a jerk --

would YOU take MY legal opinion, over yours? I am a TRAINED bio-chemist, i literally know TF i am talking about - no more than you would take "my word" on a case, over your training and experience

Drs Butler and Ester have NEVER said "jeff, you are wrong" - but we may have some terminology difference, from time to time, that state exactly the same thing? If you had a poliio vax, and were exposed to a HARD CORE polio exposure, you MIGHT "shed" virus for a very few hours - but you won't get infected -- this TERRIBLE therapeutic protects literally no one -- how many boosters do jo-tatoe get?

let's reframe it - would you EVER tell a client "sure, let DPD search your car"
