Are there any decent americans left?

"The U.S. administration is doing everything they can to destroy Ukrainian military. Today, they halted support for Ukrainian F-16s. Trump’s team has ordered the cessation of vital support for the jamming systems of Ukraine’s F-16 fighter jets.

Before being delivered, the aircraft were upgraded with AN/ALQ-131 pods, PIDS+, and ECIPS+ systems, enhancing their ability to counter russian threats. Now, the U.S. has disabled these systems, putting Ukrainian pilots at risk.
The U.S. will have to bear the weight of history and the betrayal of Ukraine."

Oh, that ship has sailed. Nobody counts on the US anymore. But we would be happy if you could just stay away and not actively do your best to kill people trying to defend their freedom in fights against oppressors. You know, like the French did during the US fight for independence.

It's sad that the US has ran away from the values that made it great, but it was your own decision to make. Just try not to be an enemy, and we can continue with our divorce in good order.

Your outrage would be better served on a Russian/Ukrainian/Eastern Europe based forum. Better yet, start a fundraiser in Sweden asking the citizens to send money to Ukraine and set an example for the rest of the world to follow. And maybe you already have and we’re not aware of it.

Something like that, yes.

It was outrage first, like for everyone I know. Now it's a combination of pity, contempt, and the will to divorce right away. Note that I have never once in 2025 offered my own views here, I am your interpreter of public opinion in the scandinavian countries.

The reason for me being here are purely altruistic. Based on the absolute dumbfuckery of the US the last few weeks, there may be people here at AR that haven't understood that the US play in russia's team now.

Seeing how you treated - treat - Ukraine, you're the bad guys now.

Take it from a freedom loving conservative, hunter, reloader, shooter, and avid small carbine shooter. You americans switched sides.

Russia is actively working to get Ukrainian pilots killed. Denigrating the country that’s given hundreds of billions is a losing strategy. Vent your spleen at the source not the succor.

you are not the only country that gave money or ressources to ukraine but you are the only that cut the support.

i will refrain the hundreds of billions ...

from your own country website ...

To date, we have provided $66.5 billion in military assistance since Russia launched its premeditated, unprovoked, and brutal full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and approximately $69.2 billion in military assistance since Russia’s initial invasion of Ukraine in 2014. We have now used the emergency Presidential Drawdown Authority on 55 occasions since August 2021 to provide Ukraine military assistance totaling approximately $31.7 billion from DoD stockpiles.

https://www.state.gov/bureau-o...eration-with-ukraine

now you do not like to hear the truth but your president starting to stop support it is a problem but in the same token support putin that is another problem and trying to take over greenland and canada two countries not affiliated in any shape of form to usa constitution what do you call that? but of course trump supporter like you are not trying to educate on the world lol

European countries have provided €132 billion in aid (military, financial and humanitarian) as of December 2024, and the United States has provided €114 billion. Most of the US funding supports American industries who produce weapons and military equipment.

The title of the post is beyond absurd.

are you meaning that your industries producing weapons and military will suffer from reducing the help to ukraine ...

now on another note there is a lot of dicussions in europe related to the f35 and the possibility to dissable some functions like they are doing on the f16 given to ukraine which might lead to the killing of some pilots from ukraine so the title is correct ...

How is the title absurd? You have already provided the equipment in question to Ukraine and you or European countries have trained the Ukrainian pilots in its use.

What possible purpose can you have for disabling the functionality of the equipment? The only reason I can see is to force the victim of Russian aggression to do what Trump tells them to. And in doing so it’s increasing the vulnerability of Ukrainian pilots who operate the f16.

I think so, but we are powerless at the moment, having been outvoted by a plurality of misguided voters. I hope they're proud of themselves.

It's soo cute when you try to play everyman, you self declared elitist oh, if only you dream of extra votes had been real

Oh, the copium

NO president has won a true majority of ALL voters, that's Tom's position this is mathematically true and irrelevant. No us president has ever been selected on the plebiscite. It's like you are a blabber ignoramus about the constitution

It's cute how you use scare word plurality and then malign people who voted their conscious but didn't align with you

No one cares if you are proud of them, you old elitist

Is that what you think they/you did?

https://www.merriam-webster.co...science-vs-conscious

'Conscience' vs. 'Conscious': Let Us Be Your Guide
Avoiding confusion involves grammar and 'science'
What to Know
Though they sound similar, conscience is a noun referring to the awareness that one's actions are right or wrong, as in one's "guilty conscience," while conscious is an adjective meaning "awake" or "alert." If you were asleep you would be "unconscious." To keep them straight, remember to stay conscious of what your conscience is telling you to do.

================================================

Oh, I get it. You're saying MAGAtts voted pursuant to their version of WOKE.

If you had a conscience by now it would be evident in your posts of remorse.

I see your point, and concede the facts. With modern travel and mail-in voting, there is no remaining reason for large proportions of the electorate to refrain from voting. It's no longer necessary to ride a buckboard all day to vote. Making a choice lately has simply not been worth a lot of effort.

At the same time, I do not agree with compulsory voting as in Australia. I think "none of the above" should always be an available choice. In a way it is there too, their secret ballot need not be filled out, just deposited in the ballot box after the voter's attendance has been verified.

An article on compulsory voting. Interesting that Lichtenstein mandates voting...
