I wonder how much of Kennedy's support resulted from a choice between Biden and Trump.

Hasn't Kennedy's support dropped off since Harris entered the race?

I get confused, is CNN worthless today or is it a reliable source of quality journalism? Y’all change your tunes so quickly it can tough to keep up. Maybe CNN is like polls. If the poll shows your candidate winning the poll is reliable and trustworthy. If it shows your candidate losing, polls are a worthless waste of time. If consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, y’all are definitely deep thinkers.

I'll say what I already said....Kennedy is a fruitcake. Last week, he offered his support to Harris if they guaranteed him a job in her administration. They shined him on and his response is to throw in with trump.

Now, what does that say about him?

I think the word you wre looking for is concussions

Concussion/conclusion, doesn't matter.

IMO, RFK Jr and Trump are on their last leg. It's all down from hereon.

I'm very happy that Harris team told him to fiuckoff, you ain't our type.

Trump is RFK's second choice. That ought to say something. What's he got to offer in the transaction with Trump that Harris Team thought was worthless or perhaps less than worthless - a detriment?

Although he's desperate, I hope he's got sense enough to cut a good deal for himself, which would probably be something that doesn't depend on Trump's winning the election. Many people who get involved with Trump get indicted for something, don't get what they bargained for, or just thrown under the bus, or some combination of all.

His last hurrah was some time ago. I think ambassador to Timbuktu would be a good job for him, one way ticket. Years ago, I read that hashish was cheap there.

I'm not so sure about that.

Here's something to think about:

Guess whose real voice this is.

Having this woman lip-synching it shows just how insane it really is.

Trump "How to Water"

Now consider that Trump is the candidate of the GOP to become commander in chief with this, the fleet of 14, and much more at his whim:

So, does anyone want to talk about policy?

BTW, Trump is known for shunning security briefings, or otherwise just ignoring them, since of course he knows best, better than the military analysis, he knows what's going on. After all he's got Musk.

Looking from the outside, I see a dangerously deluded group forming in Trump, Kennedy, and Vivek Ramaswamy.

All of them seem to hold delusions, and have a strong desire for power.
Kennedy seems bat shit crazy, Trump is a narcissist who thinks hes better than he is and is lazy.
Vivek is the one that I - for want of a better word- Worry- about.
He seems more intelligent and more driven and able to judge a room better/ more self aware than the other two.

The way I see it is the dangerously deluded group will inevitably form and foment around Trump. If not RFK and Ramaswamy, then others. There's plenty of others, and enablers.

“RFK is an anti-vax kook who sees conspiracies behind every tree and under every bed,” Levine added.

Sounds like about 1/2 the people that post here. No wonder Slider is a RFK Jr. fan.

Top GOP donor blasts ‘self-destructive’ Trump for adding ‘anti-vax kook’ RFK Jr to transition team
Story by Ariana Baio

A notable Republican donor heavily criticized Donald Trump for choosing “fringe” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard to his presidential transition team, warning it would narrow his base.

Eric Levine, a New York-based attorney who once backed Tim Scott and Nikki Haley’s respective presidential campaigns, sent an email titled “Is Trump Trying to Lose?” following the announcement from Trump’s campaign on Tuesday.

“It is hard to imagine a more self-destructive announcement,” Levine wrote in the email obtained by a reporter from Jewish Insider.

“RFK is an anti-vax kook who sees conspiracies behind every tree and under every bed,” Levine added.

After suspending his independent presidential bid, Kennedy endorsed Trump and accepted a position on the transition team. Kennedy has stirred controversy throughout his adult life and political career, most well known for pushing debunked medical theories, anti-vaccine agenda and more.

The Trump campaign also gave Gabbard, a former Democratic House Representative who endorsed Trump, a position on the presidential transition team.

Gabbard changed her political affiliation after leaving office in 2021 and has since aligned herself with MAGA Republicans.

Levine criticized Gabbard’s Democratic record, specifically calling out her endorsement of Bernie Sanders for president in 2016.

“Sanders is a self-avowed socialist. He is an isolationist. He hates the America we love and everything it stands for. Yet, Gabbard endorsed him and this is who Trump is embracing,” Levine wrote.

“There is something terribly wrong with this picture,” he added.

Those voters, he suggested, are Haley supporters.

Levine was a top fundraiser for Haley during her presidential campaign. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Republican Jewish Coalition – a group that has raised more than $2.8 million for Trump’s campaign.

Back to RFK.

Many people think that his wife hung herself because of his numerous infidelities....which he apparently kept a record of in a diary that his wife found. 37 was the body count in his diary for one year.

https://nymag.com/intelligence...s-diary-kennedy.html

There's also the heroin addiction that I noted in another thread. He has admitted he was addicted to heroin from age 14 through age 29.

The guy's got problems. Serious serious problems. Sounds like a perfect match for trump. Glad he went over to the GOP. That's where he belongs.

He will have a position that does not require confirmation in the Senate.

My guess is White House Counsel or Deputy Chief of Staff.
He has his JD from the University of Virginia and LLM Pace University.

The Cabinet position I could see him get is head of the EPA or FDA. Again, I do not see him getting confirmed by the Senate.

Department seconds do not have to be confirmed.

You cant put the spotlight on RFK jr without talking about the whole family.
Old Joe was a crook. he made a fortune playing fast and loose with the stock market as a banker just before the 29 crash.
Everyone knows about JFK smuggling women in the whitehouse.
Ted was a shit stain. Paid others to take his tests to get into college. Adulterer and killer.
RFK jr cousin got away with murder of a 15 yr old girl. RFK jr himself hung out with him and called violent. Then RFK jr himself it seems.
Those are just the ones I remember.
The Kennedy's are not good people.

The Senate is going to have at most a 4 seat majority. I do not see that as sufficient to get him confirmed.

I agree with Back40 to the extent he has identified the above.

I have always heard from third ish sources that Jimmy Hoffa said of the Kennedy’s” Never trust a billionaire’s son.”

Of course, Hoffa went down during Kennedy’s administration. Therefore, he had reasons to be upset.

Dear lord man. Hoffa was convicted during LBJ’s Administration in Fed Court in 1964. The investigation went back to the Kennedy years as Mjines stated.

Nixon commuted his sentence.

Let’s get back to the point. You were wrong, Joshua was right. If you had read the last sentence Joshua wrote you would have been able to understand he was not talking about Hoffa being killed. Put your big boy pants on, albeit a bit soiled, and just admit it. For bonus points, apologize to Joshua . . . for wrongfully calling him out and for regularly stalking him. Go for it. Show a little maturity and a little less pettiness.
