General Milley should be left alone in his retirement.
No officer is perfect, and he has to follow orders from above-however distasteful.

I stick to my comment that Harry Truman would quickly adjust some errors of the last administration,
along with those responsible. He had character.

We live in a democratic republic, and enjoy the right to disagree amicably. Divisiveness beyond
that is neither healthy for the individual nor our band of brothers.

To paraphrase Patrick Henry: I may disagree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to express your opinion.

Those who have difficulty with that underpining of our Constitution skipped civics class.
Then in a non sequitur, redeem yourselves by telling me the parties responsible for the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

non sequitur

Wow. You just expanded my vocabulary. And you messed up a favorite saying - "word-salad".

"Non sequitur Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster
The meaning of NON SEQUITUR is an inference that does not follow from the premises; specifically : a fallacy resulting from a simple conversion of a universal affirmative proposition or from the transposition of a condition and its consequent."

quote:
redeem yourselves

How about we maintain our redemption by not asserting stuff we don't know as fact. Wink Or at least make opinion distinct from fact, and/or how the two may connect.

For example, however, IMO, you redeemed yourself with the above post compared to the other one. It's rare to see that from AHs, so apparently you aren't an AH after all. Wink

Another positive clue:

We live in a democratic republic

I think a slight demotion and loss of security clearance, and loss of security detail sends exactly the right message. tu2

Your position is position on politics. You have provided no law nor regulation broken.

You only care that Gen Milley opposed Trump’s attempt to overthrow the election.

Thst is why you are wrong.

I care that Milley was part of an operation to "woke" the US military and weaken it from within, whether from misguided ideas or bad intent.

His actions should be investigated (he now cannot plead the 5th). If he was following orders when he called his Chinese counterpart, then whoever gave that order should be investigated.

Officers above a certain rank are expected to refuse an order that is not legit.

That's interesting. Where is that written? And who is to decide legit?

And another question that I would like to understand is who decided that "woke" is inherently weak?

All soldiers are suppose to not follow illegal, unconstitutional orders.

The point here is there is no law nor regulation that these two can point to that Gen. Milley broke in following the Sec of Defense’s order.

They are only mad because Gen. Milley opposed President Trump’s Jan 6 scheme.

President Trump has plenty of time to fire Gen. Milley for any reason or no reason.

He should be made an example of. I don’t want him in jail or anything like you idiots are always espousing but a demotion sounds about right and I damn sure don’t want to spend a red cent on any security for him.

Horseshit.

I guess you'll be OK with the next Dem administration pulling trump's SS detail? Asinine, childish, stupid behavior from trump.

I hope they do. According to trumps “logic”, there’s good reason for it. “He’s a dumb person” and he’s wealthy. He can afford his own security.

This was decided decades ago at Nuremberg.

Mark Milley is the poster boy for the weak liberal WOKE Democrats.
He needs to be exposed for what he did to our military. Continue to embarrass him and bring disgrace to him .

This right here is the glory of the internet my friends, anonymous snivelers trying to stick their pointy chest out in front on real men.
