I cannot fathom that nightmare. The French are notoriously difficult to deal with under normal circumstances. With the Olympics going on I can’t even imagine. And no way the Israelis will trust their athletes security to anyone else.

What does such a display have to do with the subject of Olympic games? I will answer for you. Nothing. It was unnecessary and crude and it was meant to insult a lot of people. Wrong in my book.

That folks who have been marginalized, political targets, and had their lives who do not affect anyone criminalized in the past be recognized globally.

See my comments above.

If you do not like it do not watch.

I love athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos fists in the air with good cause. I love George Foreman waving the American flag around the ring. Both were correct and needed.

There was no nudity (the American fear of nudity is over rated, but okay).

If it bothers one so much, that person is free not yo watch, but do not tell me seeing a flout is the problem. There will be a lot of flouts shown in the above various competitions.

I only watch the boxing, free style wrestling and fencing.

For someone here to claim gay, drag queen performance is devise falsely stating testis and “Fanny was flashed” is a bit much.

You will see more skin during the competitions male and female. Get over it, or don’t. However, some of us are all four gay people being public and mainstream.

My observations concerning testis and “fanny” are because someone here stated they flashed testis and “fanny@

No, that did not happen. If that amount of djin bothered you, you cannot in good conscience watch most of the competition Ms. Yiu will see more skin.

Islam can have its beliefs.

I am glad our ancestors stopped them around Hungary and France. Islam and Christianity as an imposition of law can go away.

I will watch the sports I enjoy watching and ignore any aspects that don’t interest me. My TV has an off button and no one is holding a gun to my head to stop me using it.

I enjoy the Winter Olympics more than the summer games.

Sports shouldn’t be political but sadly they are and it’s not going to change.

Yep, US citizens are allowed and encouraged to protest social, political wrongs.

They is why our system will always be superior.

Make a joke, because that is all you can do.

You forget Foreman marching around the ring w a little American flag. Both were correct t. Both were needed.

Part of this I think is good, and part bad.

Good that we are allowed to protest (although that was originally to request that the government address issues, not to inconvenience the citizens) but if we are “encouraging” protest, they should put a stop to that.

If you feel the need to seek redress, seek it… but all these paid positions organizing protests should be curtailed.

Apparently NBC is trying to walk this back and disappear the video.

I could care less about the skin showing.

It was simply vulgar and in poor taste.

I’m pretty sure they are going to take a ratings hit on this one.

It might seem vulgar and in poor taste now, but tomorrow, which will be yesterday the day after tomorrow, we might be looking back with approving eyes. The day before the ceremony, which was going to take place tomorrow, we didn't know what to expect, but if we had been able to see tomorrow, yesterday, we might have been able to spend our time better watching Sponge Bob re-runs or old presidential debates, instead of some blue dude flashing his nuts. Right? Regards, Bill

I am sorry, I do not understand what you mean by that question.

Obviously, lobbyists as citizens can protest if they wish.

I think you are asking whether lobbyists make our system superior?

That is a tough one. We might be able to structure an Amendment ending them. At worst, their existence does not outweigh the benefits of our system.

Dr. Butler is deploring those paid to organize protests, which seems to be a perfect description of both lobbyists and those who run "astroturf" campaigns.

I suspect he only means those protesting against things he supports, not such protests as the "Brooks Brothers Riot" in 2000.

Organizers of the Paris Olypmpics have apologized for the offense caused by the Opening Ceremony. Videos of the full ceremony have been removed and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has been busy claiming copyright violations to have videos and images removed.

The recreation of the Last Supper of Jesus with obese, queer and scandily clad characters was especially offensive to Christians and non-Christians alike. Why sexualize the last supper? Even Iranian leaders - non-Christians! - said that it was an "insulting representation of Jesus Christ [and] completely offensive and crossed all red lines."

The IOC apology was not really an apology. They apologized IF people were offended. Not for the offense. Anne Descamps, an Olympic spokesperson said this: "Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. [The opening ceremony] tried to celebrate community tolerance...We believe this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offence we are really sorry.”

Which means that they really aren't sorry.

Nor are they sorry that athletes are escaping the Olympic village due to the green policies that have made their competition hell. The village does not have air conditioning so the American team brought their own. The athletes were given cardboard beds so many athletes booked hotels. And they are running out of food because they tried to offer a 1/3 plant-based menu and the athletes don't want that.

In short: The Paris Olympics are a joke and an insult to athletes who work their entire lives to compete for their country.

France will get a chance to embarrass themselves again in 2030 because the country was awarded the Winter Games in the French Alps.

Not very good I am afraid.

Last Gold Medal won by the UAE was won by my younger brother in Double Trap.

Of course, I take credit for that as well.

I taught him to shoot!

Used to sit him on my lap and shoot flying doves with a 410, him pulling the trigger!

His kids are extremely good shots too.
