The little beta cuck speaks without being spoken to yet again.

Go look up sectoral reciprocity.

Better yet have an adult explain it to you.

Not being familiar with the X generation's (or whatever) slang This is interesting.

Beta Cuck

https://www.urbandictionary.co...php?term=Beta%20Cuck

BTW, I did look up "sectoral reciprocity" and didn't find a specific definition for those words combined.

Anyway I've been thinking about an article I found and read several times. I've been tempted to post the link here but hesitated simply because it describes my MO in dealing with Crass Hopers.

I didn't want to give away my secrets.

But I think maybe it's safe because I figure real Crass Hopers can't adapt. They just double-down.

To think about what I mean, ask yourself - Can MTG, for example, adapt - learn?

This is a attack on a religion to open the games. Why? The great coming together in sport, starts with an attach on one of the major religions. Why do you have to make yourself feel better at the cost to another? I am not a Christian, so I do not feel compelled to forgive.

I want them to mock Islam next.

In fact I double dog dare them to even try.

It will end up as Charlie Hebdo 2.0 because they won’t tolerate that blasphemy. Hell even the Iranians condemned what was done.

I think if there's any mocking to go on anywhere, crazies ought to be the brunt of it.

What else can be done, other than to laugh at them?

Laughing is better than crying, or whining as in the previous post (not nute), or hating for sure.

How was performance art of a depiction of an ancient Greek celebration an attack on any religion.

I understand that Christians are convinced that the world revolves around them but the "bacchanalia" in the opening ceremony had nothing at all to do with an Italian painting by a gay guy.

I'm wondering - what earth shattering event are you talking about that could bring unity?

And, do you acknowledge that reactionary, irrational acts such as condemning something per a misunderstanding and doubling down on it when info is provided as correction, is a consistent theme and directly related to division?

Good idea!!!

Better yet, drop drawers, check for the dick or stub, the evidence, balls optional, compete as a male or female accordingly.

If uncertain, per the evidence, then do the DNA test.

I think knowing the tests are not voluntary would solve the problem.

Is that hypocritical coming from someone who professes DEI?

Why do you not agree with the fat blue guy's explanation? Do you think he's lying?

That's interesting.

Why do you FEEL that something drastic such as war or death and destruction is a unity builder in today's division?

It COULD be something as simple as quit with the lies, and lo and behold unity.

Im not sure On your second question. The reasoning provided for the scene could be valid. Seems reasonable. But my google search this morning gives a different initial french olympic reply that was superseded by this reason. It seemed to accept it was a depiction of the last supper. The feast reason came later.
Also because the current reason does seem so plausible, Ive been going over the two paintings in question. My questions?
Why does the colour palate match the last supper? Why are the actors not holding the symbols of the gods as shown in the feast Of Dionysus?

If I may be permitted to kind of agree with Lane and give my reasoning for what I read in his reply.

We are in a time of relative peace and prosperity and humans seem to need conflict. Or we do a bad job of fostering peace.
When there is no major uniting influence we tend to pick on more trivial differences and give air to stupidity.
really the vast majority of people are just living thier lives, But at either end we have the stupid and less sensible waging social war that divides. And also forces us to choose a side.
I dont really give a shit about some half baked depiction of what ever it is. Just as the farce the olympics has become means I have not tuned in. For example though, because its linked to other behaviours in society that I grow wearisome of. And because On the surface initially at least, it seems like an stupid unnecessary provocation. Ive picked a side because Im sick of it.

My first thought is with a bit of disappointment. There ya go again. You missed another opportunity to experience the joy and virtue of humility, which I figure is a human trait not something chimp-like.

And, as far as I know, Chimps don't wage war over religious beliefs. Humans do that AND in addition to sharing the Chimp thing of tribalism.

Per Wikipedia:

Humility

In many religious and philosophical traditions, humility is regarded as a virtue that prioritizes social harmony. It strikes a balance between two sets of qualities. This equilibrium lies in having a reduced focus on oneself, which leads to lower self-importance and diminished arrogance, while also possessing the ability to demonstrate strength, assertiveness, and courage. This virtue is exhibited in the pursuit of upholding social harmony, recognizing our human dependence on it. It contrasts with maliciousness, hubris, and other negative forms of pride, and is an idealistic and rare intrinsic construct that has an extrinsic side.

==========================================

Do you know what I mean - Vern? Wink

==========================================

"Provocation" has at least two components - action and reaction.

Also, provocation could be intentional or unintentional.

Provocation, perceived correctly or incorrectly, carries the burden of choice regarding reaction, either way.

So, that raises a question. Did Christians really have a free will choice to react with benevolence with their preconception driven reaction?

That raises another question. Assuming there's fault somewhere in all this, re division, does it belong to the fat blue people or the reactionaries in their default mode?

You really think that Biden is planning to have the Speaker killed?

Forget the "apparently" qualifier. Do you really think Biden was threatening the Speaker personally?

You really think that Biden is planning to have the Speaker killed?

nope.. not in the least -- i saw the video, he looked like what he is, a confused old man, and he didn't mean it as a threat to the SotH .. he meant it, i think to be a smartalec comment, which is how I took it - it's meaningless

now, can YOU honestly say that if Trump had said the exact same words, that the media would just let it go?

Well, I disagree. His record proved it. He also ruined medical care in this country as well.

If you refer to Obamacare, the vestiges of that program provides my son and his family with health insurance coverage.

So I ain't buying your argument. Health care was turning into two-tier coverage and was ruined before Obama.

i can see both sides..

but, hey.. this guy, Adam, is both informed and funny, and a fair bit more liberal than most members of this site, likely including yourself

Obama was absolutely divisive, creating clear demarcation between liberal and conservatives - I had high hopes for him being a second Kennedy, as I found him inspiring. He didn't meet my hopes, but my hopes, and situation, aren't germane to the conversation.
