I remember when the Mossad sent assassins in to deal with things like this. That I wouldn’t get too worked up about… but bombing? Too high a risk of collateral damage. Military strikes on a neutral nation are an act of war. Like the attacks on our warship back when, Israel tends to look at things rather myopically. I hope the juice was worth the squeeze for them. In my mind it’s a lot like when we killed Bin Laden. Is it a big enough embarrassment to Qatar that they were hosting these clowns that they are willing to leave it at a diplomatic statement, or will it screw up peace in the region? As to peace negotiations… Hamas hasn’t made any effort to end things, so I don’t know that I would call these two terrorists “peace negotiators” but I’m wholly supportive of Qatari efforts to keep their sovereignty. | |||
