Why is Trump quiet about Pakistan's nuclear threat? Login/Join

In recent months the US has been placating Pakistan in various ways.

Trump had an Oval office meeting with a Pakistani military leader, which is very unusual.

https://www.bing.com/videos/ri...45F9285725&FORM=VIRE

The Pakistani general is the key leader of ISI and various Pakistan based terrorist organisations.

Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, made an unprecedented nuclear threat during a private event in Tampa, Florida — warning that in an existential war with India, Pakistan could “take half the world down. ” Munir also targeted India’s dams, hinted at political ambitions ......

https://youtu.be/6umd_1Qbjvg

Why is Trump trying to bully India?

Why are American law makers keeping quiet?

Why was such a nuclear threat made against half the world from US Soil?

Neither nation seems to be any better. India is not much more than a dictatorship with a veneer of respectability. A thin one. Both nations are playing the field.
It really dosnt matter which one you choose to do business with.

What has Trump got to do with two neighbors who hate each with a passion?

Only thing I admire about them is the fact they did develop their own nuclear weapons despite the stupid West trying to deny them that right!

Pakistan will be helping Iran now!

And say FO to America for being a PUPPET to the New Nazis in their genocide In Palestine!

I am surprised that people feel comfortable with a terrorist supporting general blatantly making nuclear threats against half the world from US Soil.

Saeed - Pakistan did not "develop" their own nuclear weapons. It was stolen from the West. The concerned scientist stole the information and fled to Pakistan. They then smuggled centrifuge machinery etc. by making false declarations. India kept raising concerns for a long time but the West allowed this to happen.

In other words, the West deliberately allowed Pakistan to become a nuclear power.

Pakistan already shared the technology with North Korea. Nobody can guarantee that nuclear arms have not been usurped by any Islamic terrorist organisation.

Can you use a computer? Are you too lazy to do some intelligent research?

You seem ready to pass ignorant judgement on other cultures and civilisations out of just plain bigotry. Yes Magic Carpet AND magic wand. Dumbledor was Indian and Hogwarts is an Indian school of magic Wink

https://www.usatoday.com/story...used%20for%20weapons.

There you go. Let us see if you have basic moral compass to understand some facts.
1. India had it's own scientists working on nuclear technology since the 1950s
2. India's program was LEGAL and not a violation of any international law
3. Pakistan STOLE the technology

You need to learn some world history. Get some GOOD education. Find out about India's universities going back 2000+ years . Learn about India's scientists and mathematicians from 2000+ years .

For someone who is usually well-informed and balanced in his views, this is shockingly ill-thought out unless the intention is to spite Nakihunter. While India is not a perfect democracy, which most countries aren't, it is far from a dictatorship. Pakistan always used terrorism as a weapon of war and openly boasted about being the only Islamic country with nuclear weapons. It has been a training ground for Islamic terrorists for decades on. Remember where Osama Bin Laaden was killed? Very close to a military base.

India for the most part has been a neutral or a Western friendly democracy. If people fail to distinguish a rogue state from a democratic country, albeit an imperfect one, that is a matter of deep concern.

I don't mind Trump being transactional and do away with the fig leaf of being a beacon of democracy to the world. But as observers we should at least be free from petty biases.

Actually, neither India or Pakistan is a democracy.

Come to think of it, there is no country in the world that is a true democracy.

Ruled by the loudest mouths.

In our modern age ruled by social media.

There is majority rule in any country right now.

Political appointees are to get more likes.

India is more like America.

If yiu have money, you get away with murder.

They haven’t gotten to America’s level of corruption yet though! rotflmo

No its closer to dictatorship than anything else.

quote:
Modi’s government has spent a decade eroding civil liberties and minority rights, curtailing dissent, undermining democratic institutions, and building a cult of personality. While Western governments continue to pretend that India is the world’s largest democracy, the country is beginning to resemble a Central Asian dictatorship.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP won power in 2014. A sizeable share of India’s electorate has come to see him as a national saviour. AP
Those monitoring the health of democracy around the world are unanimous in their bleak prognosis of India under Modi. Freedom House describes India as only “partly free”, and the V-Dem Institute in Sweden has, since 2018, categorised it as an “electoral autocracy”. In its 2024 Democracy Report, V-Dem singles India out as “one of the worst autocratisers lately”.

https://www.afr.com/world/asia...ship-20240506-p5fpc2

Its careful alignment with Russia of late tells you where Modi see his support coming from.

Passive aggressive self righteous pomp! Wow.

YOU started the personal barbs and ignorant insults. Remember? Why?

My country now is New Zealand. I also have my fond memories and affections for my country of origin - India. India has had Muslims for 1300 years. Now the rest of the world has Muslims. Yes NZ has Muslims. In fact we had one of the worst hate crimes in recent years in Christchurch when a White supremacist killed more than 50 innocent Muslim men, women & children.

You still haven't addressed the MAIN point. You are supporting Pakistan gaining nuclear capability ILLEGALLY. But why is the US allowing Pakistan to threaten half the world FROM US SOIL?

It just confirms your ignorance! This not an insult but just a factual observation. You asked dumb questions without doing simple Google search and your own research. Lazy. Again it is not an insult but a factual observation. Eeker

i do not care on how you judge me or not ... and i will repeat what i wrote the more countries that has the nuke the more stable it will be and the less some can bully others ...

and yes your country was helped to develop the civilian nuclear program that led to your military one and the countries that helped you were uk in 1955, canada in 1956 and usa in 1964 thinking that it came only from your scientits is a great idea but this is not what happened ...

and if you think a muslim country is less to be trust while in the same time you are complaining about the bigotry or whatever else because you are from indian ancestry is exactly proving the point of the racists and you demonstrated that you are one which might be hard to swallow ...

you see i just demonstrated what you tried to deflect on us ... i do not care how modhi is nice to you ... that country tried to influenced canadian politics like china and you are not better than them.

anyway enjoy the lovely weather.
