. . . I know you will treasure your piece of the "knock out" suit. Seriously, how can you support such a loon. Not sure who is dumber, Trump or his supporters/enablers.

Choices are poor. Again. Hunter Thompson was right.

It must really piss people off, that someone that far out was right so often.

He and George Carlin.

I didn't read the thread on that issue, partly because of the diversions.

But anyway, I don't understand how that will work out. It doesn't seem right to me. I'm an old school accountant and at one time fairly studied on tax law and the related rationale. As I remember a transaction, like a sale, triggered a taxable event, depending. A gain in value was not a taxable event old school. The basis remained the same. If they tax an unrecognized gain, that has to adjust the basis. I don't see how an unrecognized loss will be dealt with.

Anyway, that will sort itself out.

There are bigger issues that won't be so straight forward sorted out. A second Trump term and admin will throw so much at the system it will be impossible to sort out and much will have effect. IOW a mere proposal to tax something new, going through the gauntlet of legislation is one thing. But Trump and Team clearly intend to overwhelm the legislative and judicial system on a large scale.

Well…he ain’t no Rick Perry…but in the current state of things he’ll do.

However, I am embarrassed for those who say they will support Harris.

Don’t like his cards…don’t buy one. If people want them…can’t blame him for selling them.

I didn't watch it but yes, mike, I imagine it would be an embarrassment......

I have said several time that he was far from my first choice. But I stand by my belief that he is the best choice of what's available.

And those two choices are the only viable choices we have.

I do have to admit that I was proud of his reaction to being shot, I've been shot, I didn't react that way.....

Hey, Tex, how's your Truth Social stock coming along? It's pretty cheap right now, closed under 20 bucks. Better get loaded up on trump's fine opportunity. Did you buy any of the shares that the top 3 executives are dumping? Hurry, now, because trump needs your help propping it up as he has to wait 3 more weeks before he can cash in on you.

Are ethics dead? Is there no more integrity in markets and capitalism?

I seem to understand there's a market for illegal drugs, young kids, poached wild game and moonshine. Are we to capitalize on that? I gather the cartels on the other side of our southern border have, "identified a market" in illegal immigration and, "capitalized on it,".

Almost everything about Trump is an embarrassment. I guess his kids are pretty good, I love Ivanka with all my heart and id bet Baron is a pretty cool dude, but outside of those,........

Trump is an embarrassment to men, to Americans, to adults, to humans.

The point is a market being available does not make the enterprise noble. It is a sad state that a market exists for this junk.

You are correct on Capitalism is not concerned w noble. The people, buyers should be.

The examples of criminality or black market vice was the comparison he made to make the above point.
