Steve, I think you are pretty spot on with your analysis here. I don’t see her as someone who can build consensus and unite the party. I do see the party basically saying “unite to beat trump we say so”. I think the swing state are really going to hurt her and she has little time to campaign as the convention is still a month off. Personally if I was run I g Tue red team I would take all the money from Elon and mirror the Blue Teams ground/get out the vote strategy. They are worried, for sure. But look at the tactics. IMO, this article of impeachment, the claims, etc. is clearly a national security risk and issue. Sure, it's a political turnip squeeze, most people know that, even those proposing it. But how does the world see it? There is a good chance "vulnerability". "They" don't give a hoot about that. It's just like the Ukrainian war. The hope that Trump gives to Putin is prolonging the war until at least beyond the election and costing many lives. That's a national security issue too. I have always kind of liked James Carville, in spite of him being a Democrat. He has been warning of Biden's inability to do the job for quite some time. Nonetheless, even he cannot recognize that the Democratic Party is hamstringing themselves by choosing to run Harris. They are handicapping themselves, not because she is a woman, not because she identifies as black or Indian, when she thinks it is advantageous, but because she is not capable, and she is not respected. Carville was active when they blew it by running Hillary. Hillary was loved by the urban Democratic establishment but was loathed by way too many others. They, including Carville, couldn't see it. The same thing is happening with Kamala. The only saving grace is that she will be running against Donald Trump who, though beloved by his cult followers, is detested by at least half of the nation, just like Harris.
