Might be entertaining to see how it writes up an arrest for possession of hallucinogens.

Right, wrong, or indifferent.

We know that Ai will make up "truth" and "facts" when it can't definitively identify them.

And we all know that people are lazy.

Some simply will NOT proofread the report's generated text even after being prompted by the software.

Frankly, I think this is going to be problematic for the County's attorneys office, the Sheriff's department, the accused, and most importantly victims of crime.

Like Lewis Carroll? Big Grin

On a different note, I just finished reading the Zerohedge article you posted regarding high-school literacy rates and its effect on low and no skilled, low paying, entry level jobs.
I had to pause to Google entry level deputy salary.
Yikes!

That article brought me up short. Our country is not kind to the illiterate, and we apparently harbor many more of them than I would have believed. We need more high-value-added jobs in our country, but do we have enough high-value-adding workers? At the same time, I think there is not such a vast gulf between most peoples' intellects. Soviet Russia taught the basics of calculus in schools, not like we do with detailed theory but basics of how to solve problems with technique. I find the two ideas hard to reconcile.

Just to keep this political, lol,

I have to admit from the very beginning I thought Trump's shtick, his delivery, was aimed at this significant portion of the electorate. Some may argue whether it's real or Memorex, but that's a discussion for another day...

"Recent data suggests that approximately 45 million U.S. adults are functionally illiterate, meaning they read below a fifth-grade level, and around 130 million adults have low literacy skills."

Couple that with the fact that we will soon be in a population decline and I forsee a very challenging, maybe even dismal future for the low and no skilled demographic in the U.S.

I've been at odds for years with the fact that most LE departments recruit heavily from the military.
But now I'm increasingly viewing it as another stop-gap.

The robot cops in writer & director Neill Blomkamp's films "Elysium" and "Chappie" always seemed science fiction like to me, as in, far out there.

But here we are, rapidly moving in that direction.

What I mean, and I could be wrong, IMO illiterate people are not keen on critical thinking. They never develop the skill. They make decisions or reactions more based on emotion. Hence Fox News and Trump demagoguery appeals.

I have read that one of the basic tenets for quelling fascism is education. That's vs indoctrination.

Sadly, people are becoming too lazy to do their jobs, in practically anything, as long as they use AI or such.

Look at some of the Hollywood movies remade from past successful films.

They absolutely RUIN it with CGI generated filming.

Saeed I'm convinced laziness in the US is an epidemic.

In regard to Computer Generated Imagery ruining classics remakes, I totally agree.

"Planet of the Apes" comes to mind.

It is much worse than that.

You have a deranged idiot ruling you.

He ruled by Twitter.

When he started getting negative reports on his performance, he started his very own TRUTH SOCIAL!

Which spouts any but the truth! clap

Recall that Trump's big success in the TV world required limiting vocabulary to that of a 12 year old.

There are computer programs that bin the vocabulary of speeches by age groups.
It might be entertaining to run one of Trump's tweets through one of them.
I'll guess that most of them will score around eight-years-old, at most.
Except for vulgarities. We learn them a little later...
