You know where folks don't have to vote?

In dictatorships. In Republics, citizens vote.

Wo can you twist a couple of sentences to suit your tall tales.

He asked them to get out and vote and implied that there would be such an overwhelming victory they wouldn’t have to turn out the vote in huge numbers in the future.

He never said “I’ll have a dictatorship”.

Keep going brag you’ll be promoted to Dlyinf Monkey 2nd Class any day now!!!

In your interpretation, just where do you (and he) figure the majority of voters who voted against him twice now are going to go?

The popular vote means absolutely nothing as we are a representative republic that uses an electoral system. We do not believe in the mob rule that is a democracy.

This was covered in every civic class taught.

At his latest political rally, Donald Trump told the truth — for once.

"I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care," said Trump to a packed venue of his supporters.

But they’ll vote for him anyway, because they’ve surrendered their minds to his psychopathy. And he literally mocks them for their stupidity - “I could shoot somebody in the middle of Fifth Avenue and they’d still vote for me!”.

Millions of mesmerized mindless fools. Confused

The Electoral College is the last vestige of the "3/5ths Compromise" that gave slave-owning States political power based on how many slaves they held, and should have ended with slavery. It has absolutely nothing to do with being a republic, just being one whose original political system was designed to accommodate the owning of other humans.

Furthermore, the "mob rule" to which you refer, pure democracy, has "the mob" voting on every issue before the government; election of a Chief Executive by popular vote doesn't qualify as "mob rule", you dumbass.

You know you have them on the ropes when all they can do is call you mean names like a school yard bully.

And BTW you aren’t even good at that.

The Electoral College was derived to keep the big cities from controlling the entire country as rural agrarian (have someone explain the big word) with less population density have different needs that city folk.

This is why each state gets two senators as in the upper house all states are equal. California, NY and Tx get the same two votes as AK, WY and NH

In the House of Representatives each state is represented by relative population with the minimum number of Repa being one as that is the least you can have. Now I know you are just salivating (this means drooling) at being able to trot out the old “well WY get a rep for 500k pepper and in CA it’s more like 1 rep for 700k people. Why is it never AK who gets 1 rep or VT or Delaware (Joes home state) all who get 1 rep??? You blue falcons always seem to forget other states adn especially blue states.

Gotta tell you, somewhere along the line you were seriously shorted by our educational system.

You know neither history nor politics, all you can do is regurgitate what Hannity and Alex Jones tell you.

Look at the history of the electoral college, and why it made it into the Constitution to begin with. It had nothing to do with "cities vs rural", all States were largely rural at the time, it was a way for slave-holding States to leverage what the 3/5ths Compromise gave them; political power from owning slaves. Just getting representation in the House based on how many bodies they owned wasn't enough, only through an electoral college based on those extra House seats could they translate the gain to Presidential selection.

Bullshit. The 3 biggest cities in the 13 colonies together didn't have 90k population combined when the constitution was set up. Philly was the biggest with only 25K.

But it's finally boiled down to Lane's very concise response post: "100%^^^"

So, Lane, you apparently are in favor of the notion of not having to vote ever again, by whatever means Trump is dog whistling about?

Of course, "IF" is a big word.

The thing is that we don't have to wait for "IF" to happen, or see a trajectory. Republicans are already well on their way to establishing Trump's "unified Reich".

They have a plan, and a monster, and millions of guppies. That's why "IF" is a very big word. We will cross the Rubicon in November, one way or another, for the last time or not, depending on "IF".

That entire statement is delusional.

Left dissolved I would wager in 10-12 years we would have transitioned to a more a libertarian form of government.

I’d the Republican Party disappeared I would bet on all out civil war within 12-18 months because the first thing they would do is go after the guns. Statute can’t help themselves

I consider my vote to be for an idea.

The Founder's Idea. For whatever it's hopefully still worth.

So, that's the point regarding what Trump said.

He's going to "FIX" all that with his and his supporters' supplanting idea.

Do you really want Trump in charge of the aquarium's oxygenator pump, where all he has to do is flip the switch on which citizens in the republic gets the oxygen?

Remember:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Do you Trump supporters realize that Trump has set you up, with your complicity, in his zero-sum game?

Lane's 100% says it all. Get it - that's 100% to zero %.

Do you not realize it could go either way, in that game? But you committed to it.

Also, everything about Trump is transactional. He gets something in exchange for something. What he's getting from Christians is clear. What the Christians are getting is strategic affirmations of something they already believe, innately. It's a fantastical, fanatical promise for magical thinkers.

Also, Trump's jam is his indictments and convictions, which are also zero-sum.

So, there's a lot at stake, and YOU brought it on.

So, you want some really deep-end chit?

I'm not a true-believer, and certainly not a fan of a book in the Bible authored by a mad-man, namely The Book of Revelation or Book of the Apocalypse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Revelation

Somewhere in the Bible the idea of anti-christ is delved into. Christians rationalize or interpret it variously or specifically, depending on (whatever). Some say Trump ain't it. Some theologians say there are several anti-christs, then there's the ONE. Whether Trump is THE ONE, or just one - I can't say, since I don't believe in such mulch.

But if there is an anti-christ, literally, physically, metaphorically, fantastically, insanely, or whatever, Trump is THE ONE or one.

He's co-opted Christianity for sure. And he's conned Christians yugely. So, what is he, besides the orange pseudo-Jesus?

One thing it is reasonable to infer from Trump's dog whistle is that he's signaling End Times to Christians. It's a *ucking fact that practically all Christian Trump supporters believe the End Times, and associated fantastical, is near, and Trump is the merchant if not the agent.

In part, as I understand it, the End Times prophesy says there will be a ruler for some period of time, not the election cycle, election has nothing to do with it, who presides over those who are not in the clouds with Jesus, and the worldly chaos and turmoil.

So, is Trump, in their minds, THE ONE who will be left behind? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...nd%20chaotic%20world.

I didn't and can't make this chit up.

So, connect the dots.

Do you honestly believe this?

The entire system of government is literally designed to prevent this.

Is he suddenly going to order the military and his secret police to put everyone in camps where “work will make us free”???

The Judicial and Legislative branches would stomp a mud hole in him politically and the proper wouldn’t stand for it. It’s literally why our founders put that pesky ole 2A in there in the first place.

I expect that trump is plotting or has already done so that if/when he wins; schemes to be dictator for life. In case you've forgotten, he's already done it once. AGAIN, WHEN SOMEONE TELLS YOU WHO/WHAT THEY ARE, BELIEVE THEM.

I doubt that he has YOUR best interests in mind.

He's not going to put you or me into camps like he is talking about with the illegals. He has the kind of people in mind that he needs in order to help him succeed. If he does there isn't you or me or Congress can do about it. Who will have the power to order someone to go in and physically remove him from the WH? Did you miss the commentary about Project 2025 where he would order his minions to simply ignore any Congressional or judicial orders? I DO NOT TRUST HIM AT ALL.

I don't intend to vote for either one. If Harris wins I will suffer 4 years of her easier than I will suffer 4 years of trump. I'm not worried about losing my guns.

It’s not just the guns.

Not by a long shot.

Personally I will vote more to keep Trump out of the White House than to move Harris in, but I think she's well qualified for the job.

We can’t wait to see this list of qualifications

Make sure you include failed border czar in there.

Also her incredible accomplishments as a public speaker?

It's an interesting phenomenon: Trump followers don't pay attention to what Trump says.

He tells us what he's going to do if elected again, yet there are still those who deny and refuse to look at his intentions.

It's like Trump is a mirror, reflecting back whatever his followers want to see.

“Intentions”.

Not stated facts tied directly to policy statements.

Just “intentions” that you have somehow divined.

That it

I’m all in for Queen Kahamala and her progressive agenda.

Here in Iowa 250,000 more votes for Harris WON'T get the job done.
