Jezz Ann I do not understand your attitude here. The fact that you use to work in LE makes it even more strange. Telling US cyber command to stand down on Russia is like giving your house keys to the local drug dealer and telling him you will not be home for a week.

I really hope you were trying to be sarcastic because if you were not and were serious then you really need to have a reality check and rethink your loyalties.

No doubt just give away a bargaining chip.

It is truly maddening, disgusting, and sad.

But we were told. Some of us wstned. Enough voters did not care.

They will care when building materials and gas prices go back up.

I don’t think Trump needs bargaining chips; he’s not bargaining.

He’s serving, paying off his debt (“We get all the money we need out of Russia”, remember?) and most likely the blackmail on his indiscretions in Moscow.

Trumps servitude to Putin is ridiculously obvious, and has been for a long time. Still, Putin could sodomise him live on Fox News and his minions would continue to believe he was Gods gift to America. There is no redeeming the truly brainwashed.

Americans are tired of paying for a war that cannot be won by youcrane. That is the problem. Part of it is youcrane now wants American troops on their ground. This is wrong. Sending them gobs of taxpayer's money has been nothing but a waste. That idiot, zelenskyy FUBAR'd when he decided not to take the deal trump gave him. He was goaded by yurope and the demoncrats to decline the agreement and demand more. I have even less support for them as a result.

Those of you, including you, Joshua, who support youcrane with no abandon, should go volunteer for youcrane's front lines if you support them so much. Don't wish for anyone else's sons and daughters to go. You go.

State prosecutors in states like mine do not have the resources for this crime.

Really no state prosecutor can touch a Russian based blackmailer.

When you have to look at a 69 plus widow who has been blackmailed out of her life savings by these Russian thugs, then you can have an educated opinion on what Hegseth is doing at the behest of our President.

You must not understand The Art of Deal. You negotiate from a position of weakness. Maybe Trump is thinking he can turn water into wine on this one.

Oh, bullshit. No American troops are going to Ukraine. It's not being suggested and it would never happen.

Don't make shit up just because you have nothing relevant to say about why your orange jesus is on his knees in front of Putin.

It has been suggested by Zelensky- that’s the whole US and NATO forces guaranteeing the peace thing.

There have also been more than a few US ex soldiers going over there and fighting for Ukraine as volunteers…

As to standing down cyber command re Russia, what exactly does that mean? Stand down “offensive” cyber operations (I assume that’s what it means) or just let the Russians do what they want here?

You (generically) commented on (in another thread post) about Trump talking with Putin. Perhaps this is an agreement to have both sides stop cyber warefare? I don’t know.

I’d agree that us unilaterally stopping something without agreement looks bad, but it can be a negotiation tactic.

Trump is doing some things that I think are bad. Pausing the Ukrainian aid strikes me as a fit of pique but it did seem to get Zelensky to change his public statements a bit.

Zelensky wants a security agreement in exchange for territorial concessions. Trump is not putting any pressure on Putin and removing our barraging power by the day.

I do kit have any issue a Zelensky seeking a security agreement as Putin has violated every international agreement in similar situations.

Eventually, you have to say enough is enough.

What Trunk is doing is not just bad. He is realigning us as an ally of Putin against our Western Allies and the post WWII order that has prevented a full scale war.

at least it is more clear for the neighbour and friend we were ... for the rest i cannot say tha ttrump has very good skill in negociation ... bullying and mafia styles are not working very well and our retaliations will be not felt despite our small population and the small drop we inject in purchasing or selling to you as some here repeated with no end ...

I don’t know Heym if he’s allying us with Russia.

He’s certainly offending our existing allies, but I doubt he’s actually allying us with Putin. More likely he actually thinks he is being even handed and trying to think of the US first and only.

That neglects that you need allies and friends, and that some times you need to do things to keep them that are not your sole best interests.

I’m more inclined to think Trump is a simplistic narcissist than that he’s pro Putin, even if it sometimes looks like he’s pro Putin because of his poor judgement.

This is not a movie. The Godfather is a fictional film. It is not realpolitik, international politics, nor reality.

Some are mature enough not to take morality lessons or politics from a mob movie.

well it seems your supreme leader lately elected is taking very seriously that approach and i do understand for the non voters of trump that pill will be hard to swallow especially for the nest 4 years ... the impact will be hard as well for us and we did not vote there as well ... what he is doing in own country i do not care but when it is affecting us or our allies that is a way different story.

Naw, Trump is not sophisticated enough for a mob movie. He is a professional wrestling heel. That is his gimmick. He is playing it. The problem is about half believe it, and Trump has made it a shoot.

This joint session is proof of that. Here is a secret, most like the fake right on here, the Rubios, the MGTs, they know it is a gimmick, but they are piping to the ones wanting to buy the tickets. Tickets being policy.
