I disagree. I think ALL of Congress should be investigated. All of the appointees and what they did after trump won the election. How much document destruction went on, etc.

I want to know how they all got so wealthy. I want to know where all the taxpayer's money went and why? I want 100% accountability. It's the only way to save the country and stop the massive corruption that's clearly gone on for decades.

The problem is that most Rightists wouldn't believe the results of "investigation" anyway unless it was partizan, and concluded what you already believe.

I think for the most part there are already means to investigate. It's just being abused.

I do not belong to any political party. Never will. ANY govt official/employee/contractor, etc, who has done wrong should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. Until those in govt are held to proper standards the garbage and crimes will continue.

BTW, Trump was being prosecuted for doing wrong, perhaps not to the fullest extent he deserved, and it's clear how that turned out. He was rewarded for his crimes, beat the system, given immense power, and now runs amuck.

One could insert "rule of law" and "due process" but I don't think that's what Ann is advocating. Take the advocacy for investigation/prosecution of Schiff and Cheney for examples. That's all about retribution and weaponization, the anthesis of the rule of law.

Trump supporters conveniently dismiss the fact that "due process" under the rule of law was foremost leading up to Trump's indictments and pending prosecutions.

So, the political nihilism is basically rooted in the inability to sort truth from fiction, real from alt-real, just lacking the tools for it. Investigate and prosecute them all will NOT solve that problem. It will remain unsatisfied.

It is also failure to recognize and appreciate the laws, rules, tools already in place for accountability, and of course the ability to know if those are sufficient, ignored, abused or not. The prosecute them all thing is not going to solve or educate either.

It's circular absurdity. Don't trust anything, investigate everything, then don't trust the results.
