There's a way to encourage foreign capital to invest in the USA. MAGA...

Or did this have some remote connection to MTG wanting to see Epstein files?

I have seen nothing about the plant shutting down.
No auto workers involved is what I read.
Subcontractors, and subcontractors of the subcontractors, only.

I found it most strange, living not even an hour away from the Hyundai plant in question, that you folks have all kind of huge policy issues about what occurred. The real issue was that American workers were promised the jobs the plant would create. The State of Georgia made multiple concessions in taxes, built huge investments in infrastructure and funded training at trade schools for the expected new employees.

The contractors and subcontractors that Hyundai brought to the site were illegal and their management team had to know that. They agreed in the funding documents that they would adhere to Federal and Georgia laws. They did not and claiming “It’s the sub’s fault” is no effective legal excuse. Remember the plant was started long before Trump took off in January. What exactly did Hyundai expect? Hyundai has had months to fix the problem but had chosen not to do so. I think the real question is: Why did they believe that they would get away with it? Did some money change hands? Does the Davis Bacon Act apply?

No. It was the EV battery plant that’s a joint venture of Hyundai and LG.

nope, well, not really - they stopped construction while the raid was in progress - AND the illegals are being flown home -

this is a feel good story - laws and contracts brought back into compliance - and americans to be hired for high paying jobs - only the mentally challenged have a problem with laws being obeyed

The auto plant has been producing cars since February of 2024. It is an EV battery plant where the warrants were served.
