So “erasing” monuments to leaders of a slave rebellion is destroying history. We should respect history.

However, erasing a trans and bi people from a monument against violence is…

No parent or grandparent hopes and prays for gay/trans/bi offspring. It does not happen. Read period. Doctor, farmer, ball player yes. And of course healthy. Healthy hail and hardy. No I don’t think gay/bi/trans should be illegal, not at all. Yes I would love any child born to my family but to say I would be proud they’re gay…no. Folks hope and pray for healthy babies.

Most parents just wish for their children to be safe and healthy.

If you are not a parent of a gay person how do you know what all those parents want.

You are the reason why that monument matters. Here we have the Fed government erasing trans and gay folks who resisted violence and did so peacefully.

Like the Tuskegee Airmen were erased by this Regime.

The only history these types want preserve are the testaments to the Lost Cause Myth.

Again, it’s history. You can’t erase history is the argument of the pro Slave Rebellion monuments. Well, this is history.

Being gay is not unhealthy. I know a lot of proud parents of gay people. Gay people as a class are a lot more “healthier” than you infected w hate.

Stop it. No one here is hating. Be proud they’re courageous smart successful and happy. But no one is proud their offspring is gay/bi/trans. That’s not hating that’s reality. It’s not normal it will never be normal. And if it is we will go extinct. Again love them and cherish them. It’s just not something to be celebrated. First steps, first day of school, graduation, promotion…you get the point.

The people I’m thinking about their parents worth not change them. Your live is not with much.

The people I’m thinking about are second in virtue only to the embodiment of the Messiah.

They are much better human beings than you and I.

I used to say, “I wish I had a magic wand and could make gayness disappear.”

I was wrong. This monument teaches I was wrong. It is more wrong to censor, edit or then the Monuments to the Lost Cause lie.

Funny, when the logic is applied to something else.

There is nothing wrong w these people. However, there is a lot wrong w you.

These people are not a disease, they are not a burden, they are not a problem, they are not some insect to hide in the dark corners of society as a class. They are human beings. They are US citizens just like you and me.

Citizens that have been attacked, killed, harmed, legislated against, vilified who as Daniel said, “Have done no hurt.”

However, hurt sure has been visited upon them.

Wow. We managed to wrap lost cause myth into this? Dang

As a parent of a gay child, who officiated at their wedding. Mind your business

Acceptance ≠ cause for celebration

However, I celebrated their marriage and having someone to love them. I had little more say in the matter than what you ate for breakfast

Some folks are forever meddling

Dabbles? Violence against our Gay, Trans, and by citizens are not tables.

Welcome to the liars club.

Now, I’ve called you a lier.

Those monuments to the Slavers Rebellion are part of the Lost Cause Myth.

When communities and folks started to question them folks on here and in public yelled, “You cannot erase history.”

This monument and the violence it stands in defiance of is history.

https://www.congress.gov/118/m...0-20240321-SD011.pdf

I remember not long ago here posting the story of a young trans student forced to you the boys bathroom only to be beaten to death by he peers.

https://www.hrc.org/news/honor...after-school-beating

Anyone who calls this violence fable is telling lies.

Selective erasure. Restoring Confederate monuments is OK with MAGA.
It probably should be, along with those for MAGA's detractors.

I have less than no interest in ultra small fractions of our nation having national monuments and recognition. This is ridiculous.

We remove the recognition of real persons and moments like Jeffersons Birthday and Washington's birthday to stand up and salute Juneteent and Stonewall. Roll Eyes nilly

National holidays, monuments, memorials etc should be for and represent the nation, not the fringe.
