McConnell and Feinstein both undoubtedly think their faculties are good and they are not in a terminal state. If he’s having issues from a concussion and dehydration, well, it’s possible. If he had MRI and neuro consultation and they didn’t see anything wrong, great! That doesn’t mean he’s not compromised at the time, or that he doesn’t have some degree of senile dementia issues. I don’t think that there needs to be a hard age limit- if some guy decides to run at 80 for the first time, great. My issue is with the power of incumbency and that we tend to not change our politicians as often as we should because of it. I prefer the idea of term limits… or alternatively not allowing people to hold elective office (of any sort) for consecutive time frames. | |||

I think you're correct, Doc. Folks like Feinstein and McConnell just can't step away even though they obviously should. There needs to be some sort of procedural mechanism to force them to give up the reins of power. Jeff, wishing for smarter voters is a pipe-dream.  -Every damn thing is your own fault if you are any good. | |||
