A broad generalisation - people from one ethnic group tend to prefer interacting with their own kind. They feel uncomfortable with other groups, languages, social customs etc. Consider them less aware, less intelligent, less sophisticated in their ways etc.

3. People who learn new experiences and develop relationships outside their original social milieu learn new mores, values, awareness etc. They meet new ethnic groups, do business, make friends, even marry them & have kids etc. That does not mean that they are less prejudiced. Just different.

3. "Racism" is a more modern issue that has become institutionalised over the last 500 years since Colonialism from the 1400s. Colonialism was spread by Europeans into continents with indigenous people of different racial characteristics. Racism is institutionalised systemic prejudice with built in barriers that is entrenched in a society, its civil / governmental structures, legal system, economic system etc. It is perpetuated for centuries and generations - like in the US.

4. If as black native woman flaunts her independence is queue of people, that is not racial oppression. That is ethnocentric chest thumping. The social and political institutions are still residues of colonial rule.

5. The far right has tried to create new narratives and trivialise racism by clubbing it with other types of social stratification such as tribalism, caste system etc. Pierce Morgan has no clue. He is deliberately baiting and provoking people because he makes money doing that. He whips up emotions on all sides and be damned whom it offends, as long as he get rich. According to some here, it seems that to one cannot defend oneself against racist provocation without being labelled a racist yourself. Go figure.

6. The BIG difference is that tribal and caste groups had / have a very functional & stable society withing their endogenous groups while racial segregation denied them such independence and freedom with no hope of and social, economic and personal growth. One needs to do a bit of study and understand how social stratification has evolved for thousands of years.

Saeed needs to read a bit more and understand INSTITUTIONALISED barriers versus other types of (ethnic) group activity. BLM is not a good example of racism since it does not represent any form of institutionalised barriers in society. It is a good example of "ETHNOCENTRISM" where a particular ethnic group is formed (group solidarity) to represent it own interests and social goals in trying to break down existing social barriers.
