Trump needs to fix the process, not have his masked goons beating him up. https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/23...r-detained-santa-ana If the man had a criminal record after arriving in the U.S. arresting him should be a priority. I don't see that being the case here.

If they knew enough about him to go after him, they could have learned enough to know he had raised three U.S. Marines. Then they could have said, "Thank you for your service, and we would like to help facilitate you getting your documents in order". A huge PR win for the Trump administration. But when you are a racist organization like MAGA, and you worry about what The Proud Boys think, I guess that thought never comes to mind.

Unfortunately it is Congress that needs to 'fix' immigration laws. They (yes, both sides) will never do it in fear of losing votes to keep their cushy career jobs. Of course for other reasons such as being able to pay less for laborers.

It is very sad but for what ever reason, this man resisted arrest it just made deeper trouble for him. Agents are masked to hide their identities from democrats who are doxing them. Fair in my book. No one wants gang members hunting them or their families down. This has been mentioned in the news articles I read today.

Something should have been done years ago. The Dems always want amnesty first, and work out details later. That was tried under Reagan.
Where was klowns whiny ass when Biden promised all the Afghans that supported US troops would not be left behind, and then he left them behind? I dont remember any outrage from him then.
Raising kids to act like responsible adults is grounds for reward now?

Well, I don't know about you but there seems to be something seriously flawed about a system that allows a man to father three sons who enlist in the United States Marine Corps and then US law enforcement beats, arrests and presumably will deport that man.

That is seriously fucked up.

MN is not saying that behavior was appropriate or excusable.

MM is questioning whether the ICE agent used excessive bring more force than necessary based on a totality of the circumstances.

He is also implying the ICE maybe untruthful.

MM is not saying you or anyone else can resist arrest or assualt law enforcement.

I don't care what anybody says. I don't think people signed up for the ICE Nazi's raiding Home Depot or IHOP to beat and arrest undocumented but otherwise law-abiding folks who show up for work every day and have, in some cases, for decades. The people whose children, like this guy, have sons or daguhters that have served or are serving this country. As I said, that is fucked up. YMMV.

The fact that these goon squads have to wear masks to do their jobs ought to tell you all you need to know about what is going on. If your job is so unpopular and controversial that you have to cover your face to do it, maybe you ought to do your job another way....or, get another job.

I thought lawyers were about, let the courts decide?
Why dont the illegals comply when told, and let the courts decide if they stay? I doubt like hell if ICE whacks them side the head first. If you can prove they do, I'll condemn them too.
I ask again. What laws do I not have to follow without consequence? If it's OK to be here illegally, I must be able to get away with something too?

Sins of the father aren't washed away by achievements of the sons
1 dems are doxing agents. This is illegal and unethical
2 there's literally hundreds of videos on variations of the theme "how not to get beat up by cops"
3 not following lawful orders quickly leads to resisting arrest, which sometimes results in assaulting an officer. Ask representative fatso how that works
4 if he wasn't here ILLEGALLY there wouldn't be an issue

I cant understand the rationalizing of being here illegally being OK.
"they only are here to work, and not hurting anyone" I hear all the time by the supporters.
I know folks who, when they went to get a loan to buy their house, couldnt get one. An Illegal had his SS number, and fucked up his credit. It cost them over 6 grand to get it straightened out. That was 20 years ago now. Lawyers are not getting cheaper or doing it for free.
As millions of SS numbers have been stolen over the years, that same scenario has played out..... who knows how many times?
Do the illegals deserve the SS number more than the proper owners? It is their own fault what ever it costs them, hassle and $$, because the libs want the illegals here, and tough shit to the citizens?
I cant wrap my head around justifying it as OK.
And that isnt touching on the ones who have committed crimes, or have court dates pending for crimes.

Good for you. Fuck all those hard-working people who came here to work so they could take care of their families. I get what you are saying...fuck them. Fuck their families. Fuck the fact that they may have come here 30 years ago and have done nothing but work, never committed any crimes and take jobs that nobody else wants.

Good for you TB40. Fuck those folks. Beat 'em up, roust 'em out. Fuck them. Instead of welcoming them into our country and letting them work. Every single one of us that lives in the United States can trace our ancestry back to being an immigrant. Fuck them that their kids join the Marines and defend our freedom. Fuck 'em.

If you've got some evidence about somebody's credit getting fucked up because of an undocumented person taking their SS#, I'd be interested in seeing it. That is bullshit. It may happened a few times but largely bullshit.

I'll never understand your attitude. Get a clue. We're a nation of immigrants. Always have been.

People like you hate these folks because they're a different color than us and because they speak a different language than us. If they were white english-speakers, none of you republican conservative asshats would have a problem with them.

Honey, being here illegally is a crime.. "contributing to taxes" requires a SSN, which is identity theft and document fraud. If they "borrowed" your SSN, would you be happy?

You out emotions first and thats kinda sad. I respect most criminals as humans, and I am not dumb enough to absolve them of crimes, today or a decade ago.

Where was your "they contribute so forgive them for everything then offer them unearned rewards" bs during trumps "fraud" trials?

Yes, oh my god. They are illegal. Let's ignore the fact that they come here to work for US employers who hire them without regard to their immigration status and who largely or completely escape any sort of liability for hiring them so they can pay them $10 an hour.. That they commit crimes at a rate that is way less than US citizens. That they take jobs that no US citizen will take.

Beat them up, haul their asses out of here.

It would make too much sense to let them stay and work.

You're all a bunch of fucking idiots.

Mike, I respect you, as you are one of the true democrats I have ever meet. This is NOT your wheelhouse. You THINK it's rare? Call the Dallas sheriff and ask their cyber division how "rare" this is. Call the FBI (infraguard or cyber division) and ask them the threshold they have for launching an FBI investigation and how often it happens.

The answer is hundreds of times per day and is both a state and federal crime.

You might learn a thing, but the truth is, you are a true believer and no data will change your perspective

You think rewarding criminals is a good thing, and giving them unearned benefits, while discounting LEGAL immigrants is acceptable ? I think it's a hanging offense. The law is closer to me than you

Some sources indicate a notable prevalence of Social Security Number (SSN) misuse among undocumented immigrants, often for employment purposes.
Here's what the search results suggest:
High Prevalence: Multiple sources, including the Social Security Chief Actuary, the ACLU, and illegal immigrant advocates, estimate that roughly 75% of undocumented immigrants use fraudulently obtained SSNs to get jobs.
Purpose: The primary reason for using fraudulent SSNs is to access broader employment opportunities and gain employment with reputable employers.
Extent: From 2012 to 2016, there were 39 million instances where names and SSNs on W-2 tax forms did not match corresponding Social Security records, indicating widespread misuse.
Types of Misuse: Undocumented immigrants either use SSNs stolen from American citizens or legal residents, or they use fabricated numbers.
Consequences: This practice can have serious negative consequences for the actual holders of those SSNs, including financial, emotional, and legal difficulties.

There is a structural problem with ssn and needs to be torn out and recreated. There is no error checking or means to verify past "is this a valid number " in the i9 process. Unlike a credit card, which has error checking built into the number.

I9 /everify only returns "valid ssn" not this person, this number, this dob is confirmed.

I don't think rewarding criminals is a good thing. I think our immigration system is fucked up and needs to be adjusted. We need to let people in who want to work to improve their lives and take care of their families. For the love of God, how could anybody disagree with that?

Let these folks in and let them work.

I'm never going to be able to understand the resistance to that concept.

I think they call this locale the watermelon capitol. It's harvest time here.

Someone got a bright idea to buy a bunch of used school buses and cut parts of the sides and windows out, remove the seats, and rent them out for hauling water melons and cantaloupes to the local farmers market where they are resold and dispersed all over.

Some of the buses are used to transport the workers.

Anyway, the fields are alive with the buses and the workers. It's hot, about 95 degrees and humid. The farmers rely on the help which are not US citizens.

I don't know how that all works, but there it is.

I figure they all have work permits, and some entrepreneur is facilitating.

It's not a good analogy. These people make $15 bucks an hour.
