The guy who initially appointed him to that board was Governor Dayton, who makes Walz look like a moderate. The guy served on a bipartisan commission, but you can guarantee if his selection was by the GOP, it would have come out with documentation by now. The guy is a religious nutter. Maybe a democrat, maybe a Republican, but undoubtedly willing to deceive folks to get his way. I’ve read some stuff that indicates he was pretty progressive but had some very unusual attitudes for a progressive as well. Disturbed individuals usually are an exhibit of mutually incompatible views. This guy seems to prove that statement. I don’t blame Walz for his being on the board, but he’s not a guy you can blame republicans for either. I do blame Walz for overreacting in the interests of “safety” for government leaders. | |||
