You could accord the same attributes to Hitler and Mussolini. Tenacity and relentlessness are neither positive nor negative.

You could as easily praise his face makeup - it’s neither here nor there. He rallied and grifted and fleeced his cult members nonstop for four years, are those positives?

I guess that’s a matter of whether the man has you entranced or not. The most remarkable thing I can see about him is that he’s undoubtedly the most successful con artist of our time. When a convicted criminal who openly declares his intentions to abrogate the constitution can be elected head of state - that’s a masterful con!

I regret that is his biggest strength, but it certainly is his strength.

Not another living soul has more mental toughness and tenacity than this man. Not one other living soul could have lived his life the last 4 years and stayed focused to win the presidency. No one out works him. Not a perfect human being by any standard but definitely a man with executive skills and one I will take in a match against any other executive in the world. He also loves the same qualities of America as I love.

He understands business alright. That’s why he managed to bankrupt so many. As for being a man of steel, I guess that’s why he was practicing masturbation techniques on a steel microphone. That should help him be ready to “handle” Putin too. rotflmo

The group of woke liberal democrats who respond on here to anything that doesn’t fit their parties woke agendas get their panties in a wad immediately. The woke democrats who have been in power haven’t had the experience to ever run a business or responsible making a payroll from the Clintons, Obama, to Biden, now Harris. All the woke democrats know is
How to feed off the government tit. The Jeffyfives, Headass, Enima , MJines, and all the other woke Dems who are relentless insulting anyone who is not woke on here . Just reading their comments shows their lack of business acumen. The wokes on here don’t have a clue on the risks of business cycles in running a commercial real estate business at a mega scale. Real estate runs in cycles and anyone who plays as a subcontractor or vendor runs the same risks as the developer. These dumb ass democrat wokes responding on here just show more of their woke ignorance.

One of the left's tactics is to place operatives in general media, social media and political discussion forums. Like tiny ministers of propaganda. This is comically apparent when they simultaneously bark out identical talking points on command. Our local talk radio station has two callers who obviously get their marching orders from the same source. Everyone has seen dozens of legacy media talking heads mouthing the same words. No different here and other forums I visit.

Our shooting club recently elected a new president who got the job because no knowlegeable, long time members wanted it. He was a noob to the shooting sports with big ideas. I went to the range a month ago and discovered the dumb bastard had disc harrowed the shooting range disturbing 50 years of lead dust and making the walk to the targets either a mudhole or a dust bowl depending on weather. He did this on his own, without consulting the other board members. Kinda like an executive order. I confronted him with this and he said he didn't like getting dew on his shoes from the grass and weeds. Now we are stuck with this crap until next spring until seeds can germinate. Every time the wind blows you are breathing contaminated dust instead of having it stabilized with roots.

Moral of the story is pay attention when you vote. Vote for people with appropriate experience. The Presidency of the United States is defined as the Chief Executive. It should be occupied with people having executive experience. None of the left wing candidates had any meaningful executive experience. They also professed bad ideas. An analogy to that would be easy.

But first, plant a winter cover crop, like rye grass or fescue. There ought to be some grass or cover that grows in winter in SC. Ask a farmer, or ask a deer hunter about food plots.

But all you want to do is bitch.

Unlike the scenario with your newly elected shooting range president and his stupid and toxic trick, the toxicity of Trump(ism) can't be fixed with a little grass seed and fertilizer and will last for years. All the Trump shock troops, apologists, true believers, cult guppies, sycophants, loyalists are like a massive worm army eating the national roots.

And "appropriate experience" --- yea, Trump has appropriate experience alright. He is a contestant if not the greatest con artist of all time.

Does anyone know of a demagogue toxic narcissist who wasn't relentless?

I'm glad Trump won. The alternative would have been a disaster. Nonetheless, he is no hero unless he proves himself to be such. Will he be able to rein in government spending? He didn't do a great job of it last time around (I know, covid, a weak excuse). Will he find a workable solution to the immigration issue? He says he will. I do believe he may be capable of ending the Russia/Ukraine conflict.
Will he be able to stop telling lies? Not a chance in the world! He may do OK but it's not certain. Regards, Bill.

The rest of this post is sycophantic fawning. Give your head a shake.

We hope for the best but with tempered realism based on past performance. Should be an interesting next two years. The GOP controls the process. If they are serious about addressing vexing issues like deficit spending, immigration, infrastructure, healthcare, etc., now is their moment in the sun. If not, they own it.

IMO "Admire" is a very bad word relating to Trump. It's like admiration, perhaps worship. There's no way for me. Recognize is a more appropriate word for me.

It could have been different. Garland fucked up. He is just too nice and too cautious and didn't recognize the threat level. He overestimated the power of the rule of law and underestimated Trump. No, "they" didn't throw "everything". The actions that were taken were all too little and too late or too slow.

Trump clearly outmaneuvered "them" and practically everything in the Founder's trajectory of the nation. In the context of demagogue, the attributes you mentioned are outstanding; stamina, toughness (or at least the pretense or act), tenacity, man of steel. He did a good job with his act in reality TV with all that, before he got cancelled. IOW, he's the perfect demagogue. They always project an alt-reality and Trump is a master.

As far as "Not another man alive that could have achieved what he did." patriot

The reality is that no one could have achieved what he did without lots of help. The degree of help he got is astounding, and it's not just his followers; the "swamp", establishment, the machine machinations, the plotting and planning, the media such as Fox and Newsmax and Bannon, etc. Then add to that people like Flynn and many preachers talking God's will. It all was no conspiracy theory. Instead, it was a massive conspiracy to transform the nation into something it has never been and unhealthy. To call it patriotic is blaspheme.

It's gonna require a big nasty swamp and lots of snapping turtles, water moccasins, and gators to administer a fascist regime.

The evidence suggests that not only was Trump elected because of his demagoguery, but his supporters wanted whatever he has to offer, and most importantly they are not duped - they know exactly what they are getting. He said so in advance. Also, importantly, Trump supporters just want him to succeed in what he and all the GOP organizations behind him have planned for many years, including the Heritage Foundation and GOPers in congress and all the Christian groups who want to settle the Church and State separation argument forever. In supporting Trump, the evidence is clear that it doesn't matter how he succeeds, it's the End or outcome that matters.

And this is just the beginning. There's a lot more where that came from. I think it's impossible for Trump to have been elected because of ignorance. He was elected due to something far more sinister than ignorance.

The MAGA movement has morphed.

You see, the lies will never cease. There is a vast amount of already lies to parrot and embellish. But that vastness is exceeded by the untapped resource of new and creative lies.

It's a mind-set, a worldview, a curse.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...lassified%20material.

On August 8, 2022, at 8:39 am,[131][132] FBI agents searched Trump's residence at Mar-a-Lago for the material specified in a warrant, including classified material. The material pertained to special access programs according to The New York Times[62] and – according to The Washington Post – nuclear weapons.[16][133][59][134] The FBI notified the Secret Service of the search a few hours in advance. The Secret Service facilitated the FBI's access to Mar-a-Lago,[53][57] but did not participate in the search.[53]

==============================================

I read that the agents wore polo shirts for a more non-threatening appearance. And Trump wasn't there.

=============================================

You might as well have said Biden instead of Garland sent them. A lie is a lie.

Federal magistrate judge Bruce Reinhart of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida approved the warrant on August 5, 2022.[126][127] Reinhart, who had previously been a federal prosecutor for a decade, was misidentified by some sources as being a Trump appointee, but the position in fact is one filled by the courts themselves.[126]

Reviewing and approving search warrants is a typical duty of federal magistrate judges.[126] Legal experts noted that, given the high profile of the operation, the application for a search warrant (granted on probable cause) would have been first scrupulously scrutinized by federal authorities.[128][129] Will Hurd, a former CIA agent and former Texas Republican congressman, said: "Trump and his lawyers admitted to and then handed over presidential documents improperly taken from and stored outside the White House. Of course the FBI had probable cause to go in looking for more".[130]

Garland did his job. Trump had no right to keep those materials. It was a great for those materials to remain.

Nothing about this ejection changes who Trump is.
