And then most folks would be wrong. The numbers say otherwise.

First and foremost a man must be a man…forthright, direct, honest, humble, but strong. Markwayne fulfilled all. He did not challenge anyone…he stood up to a thug/bully.

He will win reelection in a landslide now. He is now an Okie folk legend. They love him for this.

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

I've always admired the Texas "fightin' words" exception to the rule in 49 other states that you can't meet mere words with physical violence.

In law school we learned about the rule, and the Texas Supreme Court's decision that one may greet words with a certain level of violence if they utter what the court called "fighting words." So if someone called your mother a bitch, you could legally punch them out.

I don't know whether this is still Texas law.

Texas is also one of two states w mutual combat law. Oklahoma is not the second.

Neither should exist. I am proud that I have started a No holler justice policy in my criminal court. Unjustified self-hell will not get your charge dismissed.

You have mountains and hollers. Only mountains count in this case.
