I remember Lane's post.

Despite all my Trump loathing, if I try I can find examples of where he gets something right. But it's always mixed in with BS or lies or both.

Here's an example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5RLiwdkXQ4

Trump REFUSES To Side With Ukraine: 'I Want People To Stop Dying'

I was looking for just the segment from about 0:53 to 1:55, but found this tedious video instead.

Watch the whole thing if you want, but my point is the time segment mentioned above.

There are several points which could be made from this video.

That's more than a grain of truth.

Trump has that down pat, and more.

That's also the basis for conspiracy theory.

Oh, come on. You dudes have some common sense left don’t you?

We all know what a lie is or isn’t Start this “absolute fact” crap to explain away a flagrant lie? A crazy standard only applied by loons in reference to Trump. You know and I know that you don’t apply this so-called “absolute fact” standard in your normal interactions in life.

Do you not see how Trump has perverted a fundamental aspect of your lives?

You my loony friends are Trump’s “marks.”: The jest of the video.

Admittedly, it's a low bar since trump is a lying despicable seditionist sack of shit but true nonetheless.

No, Cat - just no - you are reading that backwards - with "absolute fact" approach, even an "opsie" on day, date, time, dollar, anything FACTUALLY incorrect counts as a lie - that INCREASES the number of lies told - this is basically what the FBI uses when they say someone lied to them, if the subject doesn't caveat the whole thing with "to the best of my memory"

it also takes tone/emotion/opinion out of the discussion -

Does trump frequently and routinely lie? without a doubt ...

and here's the part you won't like
so does biden

trump's public lies over a 4 year period ending in Jan. 2021: 30,573 per the WAPO. And, that doesn't include the lies he tells Melania about all the whores and bimbos he's banged.

Paywall but you can find it elsewhere if you look:

https://www.washingtonpost.com...573-over-four-years/

Biden is not even close and, most importantly, doesn't tell lies that threaten the very fabric of our democracy. You can't draw an viable analogy between trump and Biden when it comes to lying. It's just not possible. Shit, Biden or anybody else. trump stands by himself when it comes to being a lying sack of shit.

He obviously didn’t win it by the standard we used to measure success in 2020.

That said, the evidence suggests to me that the 2020 election was an enigma.

The causes for the enigma are what interest me. It is a topic that I enjoy researching and reading. I will get back with you in my analysis in another 4-5 years.

You live in a country where people that criticize the regime are detained and imprisoned in some cases. You can't freely assemble without government permission. You're subject to arrest and imprisonment for political protest or labor organization.

The idea that you criticize our country for it's supposed lack of freedom is laughable.

Here’s the deal Lane:

1. From the start, way back 7 years ago, you and your fellow loons were warned that Trump had zero character or morals, a real piece of shit, yet you defended him at every step by questioning these assumptions and demanding that those making these assertions prove he ever lied. Hence, “Show me one lie he ever told.”

2. As it become indisputable that Trump was devoid of morals to all but the blind, rather than admit that you were wrong, you position on Trump morphed into it “it’s not the man’s character, but his policies” that matter.

3. Hey, it is not that hard to admit that you were flat-ass wrong about something. Frankly, it is very few things that I ever get 100% right. It is the nature of being a human. Stand up and own your errors. Accept responsibility. It won’t hurt that much and may actually give you a little freedom.

I'm only 55 and had pretty crummy parents, but I was raised to understand believe there was only honest and dishonest. Two choices, tell the truth or lie. Your word could be trusted or not trusted.

I don't think that a standard anymore. Our "Rulers" are actually favored for lying in things like campaigns, our fellow citizens have, "their own truth!" which is whatever their perception is or what they say it is.

Reagan said, "I don't recall,", Clinton said, "I never had!", and it's just gotten worse.

Bill Barr had some interesting commentary the other day in relation to the folks that advance the argument that while trump is morally bankrupt, they will still support him because of his policies:

"“If you believe in his policies, what he’s advertising as his policies, he’s the last person that could actually execute them and achieve them,” Barr, a longtime ally of Trump, replied to Rivera at a City Club of Cleveland luncheon Friday in Ohio.

Trump, who is currently running to retake the White House in the 2024 election, “does not have the discipline. He does not have the ability for strategic thinking and linear thinking or setting priorities, or how to get things done in the system,” Barr continued.

“It is a horror show when he’s left to his own devices,” the ex-attorney general added. “So, you may want his policies, but Trump will not deliver Trump policies. He will deliver chaos.”

That chaos, warned Barr, would ultimately result in Trump’s policies being set “much further back than they would otherwise be.”

Please explain to me how anybody could ever live under a system of government where you don't get to pick your own leaders? Or where you run the risk of being arrested and detained if you criticize your monarch or system of government? Or where if you engage in political protest, you can be arrested and detained. Or if you try to organize some sort of labor movement, you can be arrested and detained?

It's not close. You only accept it because you are wealthy and free from any of the aforementioned dangers. Ruling elite.

As I have stated many times before, democracy is almost certainly the worst form of government....except for all the others.

3. Hey, it is not that hard to admit that you were flat-ass wrong about something. Frankly, it is very few things that I ever get 100% right. It is the nature of being a human. Stand up and own your errors. Accept responsibility. It won’t hurt that much and may actually give you a little freedom.

I would happily have Trump as POTUS over Biden.

I don’t accept Biden or the Biden Family as anything but corrupt with horrible USA policy.

I never said Trump was a saint or anything other than what he is.

His policies were good.

I have nothing to admit and don’t back away from my stance. Should the 2 be faced off in the General again…I will vote for Trump again. I will support some less controversial in the Primaries.

Do you want me to ask Saeed to make this statement a sticky at the top where I don’t have to tell you again?

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

Sorry, Lane, but you’re still crawfishing.

Fact, early on, you defended Trump when aspersions were made. “Show me one lie” is a great example. The clear implication you were trying to make by that question was that he wasn’t a liar. When even you could no longer deny the man’s lack of character, then it was all “policy.”

Nobody said that you called him a saint.
