Have the Palestinians released the hostages yet?

I think the war will stop once the hostages are released and Hamas either retreats or surrenders.

If my daughter were held hostage the picture posted would be a regular Garden of Eden as opposed to the Hell I'd bring.

Nothing quite as Christian as support of a genocide and the starvation of a civilian population.....well, you could shoot those starving civilians if they are not orderly enough as they beg for flour.

No wonder the Israelis have lost the support of the world.

Saeed,
I believe your side is holding a city hostage and starving them out in Sudan. You are learning from the Israelis.

Steve, can you explain why the civilians begging for flour refuse to give up Hamas and the hostages?

Do you disagree that the war would be over the moment the hostages are released and Hamas either retreated or surrendered?

I wonder what it is about Palestinians that Hamas hates so much.

If it wasn’t for Hamas we wouldn’t be here.

And if wasn’t for the New Nazis slaughtering Palestinians since 1948 Hamas would never have exited.

Sadly, what Hamas did bring all this to the attention of the world.

And lots of it are beginning to see what Zionism is.

ITS IS THE NEW NAZIS!

Scott, God forbid and I pray you or your daughter are ever in such a situation but if you had lost your daughter or she'd been maimed either by the IDF or whilst they stood by and did nothing you might understand. I'd feel exactly the same way about my kids.

Exactly the same applies if one of my kids had been killed by a Hamas rocket.

This is a complicated mess and no amount of "blame " being assigned to what either party did last week or 50 years ago is going to solve it.

And the same may be true if your Arab neighbours hadn't invaded Isreal not even 24 hours after its independence.

There is no blame free party here.

If I was unlucky enough to live in Gaza my priority would be to leave with my family. It's telling however that the only Arab or neighbouring country which allows visa free travel on a Palestinian passport is Jordan.

Scott,
Did you happen to see what happened to the guy who was protesting Hamas rule in Gaza a couple of months ago? Hamas took him to his family, then brought the family outside to witness his brutal execution. The Palestinians don't resist Hamas for the same reason that the Germans didn't resist the Nazis, the folks that have the guns have the power.

You do realize that Hamas has offered to return all of the hostages if Israel ends the war and the occupation don't you? Israel has had all of Gaza under blockade for decades, including keep residents from the sea, essentially turning Gaza into one large concentration camp.

Hence the reason why I hope Israel keeps hammering and eventually bulldozes all that rubble into jetties and artificial redfs.

The innocent Palestinians that do get killed in this (God rest their souls) are no worse off. There are worse things than death and Steve’s paragraph above outlines it.

Nope, totally true, Israel refuses to end the war for political reasons. Netanyahu needs to stay in power.

You certainly could make the case that the genocide that Israel is perpetrating is worse than death. It is disgusting, as is the support of ethnic cleansing by American "Christians".

Talk is cheap…it takes money to buy whisky.

Both Netanyahu and Trump have said if they release all remaining hostages…the war would end. There is no negotiating to it as they never should have been taken to begin with. The monkey is on their back. Release them and the war will end.

Otherwise I hope and pray that Israel erases Gaza as it once was known.

In other words, Hamas did offer to release the hostages if Israel would end the war. Netanyahu needs the war for political reasons, that is why the hostages are still being held. Netanyahu and Trump have both said that they will occupy Gaza once the hostages are released, that is the sticking point. The far right in Israel wants Gaza, plain and simple.

More BS.

Releasing the hostages is on them to do. Release and it will end. They have the hostages…they can do it now. Nothing stopping them except them. No need to talk about it.

Yes, release the hostages.

No, that would not end it.

And

The existence of a Palestinian state is as non-negotiable as non-negotiable as the existence of an Israeli state.

MSF - also known as Doctors Without Borders - claims Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) locations have become scenes of "orchestrated killing". An IDF spokesperson has previously described some accounts of shootings at aid sites as "fake news".

No wonder Israel doesn't want the press there to report on whats going on.

If Hamas released the hostages, support for Israel’s ongoing operations would dry up, both domestically and internationally.

I could see Israel doing an occupation like the axis powers had after WWII, but excepting a few folks who base their politics off of their religion, I can’t see support for making Gaza a part of Israel in the US. Making sure it’s not a continuing bed of terrorists? That could be supported, but not annexation.

I have to disagree. I believe the American electorate will support Israel annexation of Gaza.
