The amputation or Trump melting down?

The Trump meltdown will be ubiquitous for the next month or more. Whoever thought that venue was a good idea is history.

Trump's team cut it short (they mentioned at the top it was supposed to be an hour), I guess they didn't have one of the old Vaudeville stage hooks so they just told the production team they were throwing in the towel after 35 minutes.

That was terrible, he made a complete asshole of himself. His contempt for anyone not pure white was right out in the open.

Also, he can’t stop repeating the flat out lie that people have 8th & 9th month abortions and even kill babies after they’re born. I’d defy him to find one single case of that in North America, anywhere, ever. He’s simply an outrageous pathological liar who thinks that if he repeats his lies often enough, they’ll be accepted as truth - and I don’t doubt some of his brainwashed minions already do believe him.

Hey Tumbleweed, does this help change your mind about late term abortions? (on Wiki)

Kermit Barron Gosnell (born February 9, 1941) is an American serial killer and former abortion doctor. He provided illegal late-term abortions at his clinic in West Philadelphia. Gosnell was convicted of the murders of three infants who were born alive after using drugs to induce labor, the manslaughter of one woman during an abortion procedure, and of several other abortion- and drug-related crimes

They kill human(s), many in fact, do they not? That is the definition of a serial killer.

Are you really comparing killing babies with 'health care'?

Turns out the delay in starting was because Trump was demanding that there be no live fact-checking during his interview.

Harris was not scheduled to be there, that would have made it a debate.

Trump's scared to debate her.

And it wasn't "electronics" that caused the delay, it was Trump trying to nix real-time fact checking.

That's an interesting post.

Let's analyze it.

First there's double hate there as you stated. You didn't mention what Trumpism represents, policies, direction, etc.

To answer your first question, "how did we get to this point", in part the answer is in your post, and it starts with hate. "Taken us" implies against will. Who's will? The policies and direction of the nation have changed over the years, compared to the founding and in-between then and now. Even the democratic and republican parties have changed a lot over the years. For example, Southern democrats used to be pro-slavery, etc., but that all flipped. What if democrats today are merely a reflection of direction, not the architects? Of course, what does that say about GOPers and their worldview? Architects of what?

Under the above premise, how is it possible for a nation going with the flow in the stream of constant change, demographics and otherwise, to be unsustainable? The answer may be when enough radicals say so and make it so.

In the case of the republican party, you nailed it. "Who" is the right word, singular, a person, which is populism boiled down to a cult. Sure, Trumpism is far more than the person, Trump. But it is Trump institutionalized, especially per project 2025. Trump says he has nothing to do with it, but of course that's another wopper.

With Harris, the DEI candidate, it represents far more than just the person. It represents the philosophy of the Founder's principles, and it's recognition of change, not so much as architect.

After all, what you are voting for is one of the two variants of DEI.

For democrats it's Diversity, Equity (agency) and inclusion

For republicans it's Division, Exclusion and Inequality

You say "unsustainable". Well, the Founder's principles have sustained for a long time, so ask yourself, is it no longer sustainable, or is fascism sustainable?

It's that simple. Don't make it complicated.

Id suggest thats a very flawed summary. People out there recognise the division the left is well part of creating as well. and arguments really dont work when you get cute and try make something out of matching alphabet letters. The left, is a megalith right now. The right is too. The cute play on words would be Magalith. 2020 Im pleased Joe is gone, Kamala is a better choice. But she's not a great choice and that she automatically got the role shows how archaic and stuck the left is.
Zeaihan is correct, there is only a few voters in the country who will decide this election. Those in the middle. They will be choosing on who is least worse. You do no favours to the left in not recognising how truely awful they are right now yourself. In fact i see more recognition from the right in the GOPs flaws, than I do the other way round.

Well, I would like to know what the flaws of the left really are.

One really ought to know which megalith is supporting what.

After all, one who claims objectivity ought to mean it and actually be objective.

Part of being objective is to ask oneself whether his opinions are mostly based in bias or facts.

I could name many, many facts on which I base my opinions about the right, along with some reasonable and logical inferences from facts.

One such fact/inference for example is Trump/Vance are the nominees. That says a lot. It goes downhill from there.

Harris is likely to be nominated but it's not about her in the same way it's about Trump. It's not an equivalence.

That's just the tip of the dragon's tail.

Anyway, please give me a short list of the left's flaws. Skip Harris' flaws whatever they may be. They mean nothing to me in the context of left flaws, and I don't want to waste time in a response should I so choose.

I will assume that your list of flaws include by extension her flaws as well. She has so few that she is not a good starting place looking for flaws.

After all, she doesn't OWN the party. Trump does.

The flip side is that I assume that Trump's flaws ARE the right's flaws plus so much more.

Nope. Deadwrong as usual. It's equality, as in equality of opportunity. Equity, in no world, is agency. It's equal outcomes, which, frankly, is the root of Marxism.

There is little relationship between equality and equity. Everyone in the US can attempt to make the Olympic team, that equality. Not everyone earns a Gold medal, as that would be equity.

Please don't play the typo excuse game.

Why don't try you to stop speaking for dems and Republicans, as I expect you couldn't get a statically significant number of relationships with one, much less both, and simply speak for yourself

Real conservatives aren't radicalized. Thus "radicalized conservative" is an oxymoron. Yet there are many radicalized republicans.

It's pathetic when you keep trying to force project 2025 as some sort of gop program

You know darn well what I mean. So, all your huffing has little meaning.

What’s the Difference Between Equity and Equality?

By the Annie E. Casey Foundation

Well-meaning people (not you) often use the terms “equity” and “equality” interchangeably when discussing matters related to race and social justice. While both terms have to do with “fairness,” there are key differences as the application of one over the other may lead to drastically different outcomes. Equality requires that everyone receives the same resources and opportunities, regardless of circumstances and despite any inherent advantages or disadvantages that apply to certain groups. Equity, on the other hand, considers the specific needs or circumstances of a person or group and provides the types of resources needed to be successful.

Equality assumes that everybody is operating at the same starting point and will face the same circumstances and challenges. Equity recognizes the shortcomings of this “one-size-fits-all” approach and understands that different levels of support must be provided to achieve fairness in outcomes.

What Does Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Mean in the Workplace?
Many organizations implement DEI initiatives — here’s what that means, and why it matters.

Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) refers to practices and policies intended to support people who come from varying backgrounds and give them the resources they need to thrive in the workplace. DEI frameworks take into account factors like race, gender and sexual orientation, so teams can find ways to help employees from marginalized groups succeed.
