I don't doubt what you are saying, but that is old news. I was trying to remember that old Texas gun writer from the 70s. I really enjoyed his articles. When he retired, his last article mentioned that he was selling his South Texas ranch and moving to San Antonio because he and his wife no longer felt safe due to "foot-traffic". I remember hunting mule deer and Aoudad on a ranch south east of Van Horn for years back then. One of the features we called "The Haciendas". It was really a way station for illegal immigrants built back into the cliffs. And yes, they used / vandalized our deer camp on occasion. There was a steady flow of illegals because we had jobs and they didn't. What changed was Trump. Going to the U.S. was always a dream of a lot of people from other countries. It was their "Hole Card" if things fell apart in their own country. The dumbest thing you could do was make them play that Hole Card, and that is where Trump blundered in. BUILD A WALL, CLOSE THE BORDER. That told a ton of people that they needed to play their Hole Card NOW! You make your memory conveniently suit your narrative. That's nothing new either. | |||
