It doesn’t really concern me. I am interested in the legal/political chess game played throughout the saga. So far Paxton has stayed a move ahead. It will be interesting (not concerning) to see what the legislature does and how the saga ends. In the big scheme of things however, the saga is merely a distraction and another case of lawfare used in politics. Frankly, what gets me is that the Texas GOP can’t come up with someone who has the right qualifications, the right political philosophy, but does not have the baggage Paxton has. MN has had GOP Governor candidates who are pretty much milquetoast folks but don’t have any charisma. The DFL (MN democrat party) succeeds in making them look like your goofy uncle on TV, and they lose to folks who have trouble in the democrat primary. The GOP is dysfunctional in MN. | |||

Pocket change in today’s world of litigation. He still won in that instance. Are you familiar with that securities act? It is kind of unusual and definitely not the norm in the US. Many out of state companies violate that statute in buy out reinvestment deals. This was pointed out to me recently when working on a corporate buyout deal.
