But in a recent poll, 50% of Americans are happy with the direction our country is moving.

That's the highest approval in decades.

That is not true.

46% approved of how Trump is handling his job as president, while 52% expressed disapproval.

Yes, we deserve the government we vote for. However, we have a Constitution as amended and applied to provides what the government Must be at the bedrock.

Harris nor any of the dems ever showed any autocracy dreams or plans, such as project 2025 which Trump lied about. Trump's character and plans were obvious, so much so that it is ridiculous to say his voters didn't know what they were voting for. They, MAGA, voted for what they thought they deserved and what they thought the so-deemed evil dems deserved, and more. For MAGA, It wasn't about choosing the lesser of evils. Instead it was about choosing the greater of evils, at best, or knowingly choosing evil, malevolence, over benevolence.

And it's ironic that in large part what Trump's MAGA thought they were voting against was actually long-fomented lies. For Dems, Trump(ism) was obviously, evidently, objectively evil.

And, IMO, the strategy of “let Trump hang himself with his mouth” was and is a good one, but not stand alone. But it does make at least two presumptions, one certain and one dubious. Certainly Trump will hang himself in the POV of reasonable people such as most Dems and some RINO's. The Right extremists won't see it that way. They will just be disappointed that Trump didn't fulfill their radical dreams by radical means.

I think those who blame the dems for Trump's win are just putting salve on their conscience. And it IDs them as (closet?) RINOs. At least they still have a conscience. Obviously, I'm giving lots of benefit of doubt with this paragraph.

The real republicans now are the RIMOs (Republican Intentionally Malevolent Obviously) You RINOs making excuses for them isn't helping.
