Foreman’s dad JD Foreman was abusive, alcoholic, and largely absent.

His father was a person by the name of Moorhead. Foreman learned this at age 25.

That is the reason he named all his son’s George Foreman, so they would always have something in common and not have the questions he had facing his parentage.
