leopard question
I have a leopard coming from TNZ in a few weeks. I am leaning toward a front-half charging type mount (yes, I will lose some of the beautiful hide). Which taxidermists in the Texas/Arkansas/Oklahoma area should I consider--or avoid?

Please, please, do a full mount. Unless you have other leopards, you truly should not go with only a half mount.

Don't cut a leopard in half. It may cost more, but I believe you will truely appreciate paying the extra bit later on down the road. If it's a matter of space, I'd cut the sofa in half before the leopard.

And so if you meet a hunter who has been to Africa, and he tells you what he has seen and done, watch his eyes as he talks. For they will not see you. They will see sunrises and sunsets such as you cannot imagine, and a land and a way of life that is fast vanishing. And always he will will tell you how he plans to go back. (author: David Petzer)

Have received interesting info from a few, but have not settled on anything definite. Haven't heard anything about shipping from Tanzania yet.

Give Gary Damuth a call.He has mounted 6 of my African animals and is doing a full body mount of a leopard for a friend. I have seen the quality of his leopard mounts and Gary and his staff can compete with anyone. Look him up at www.damuthtaxidermy.com Jerry Hoover
