My buddy was fortunate enough to draw the tag last year and was rewarded with a great billy. WE had a great time on the hunt and saw many shooter bilies.

I recently wrapped up his mount and it's on its way to SLC now.

The No. 1 animal on my bucket list that will never happen. U.S. politics would never allow such a policy of "importing" a non native species today. Look for the animal rights groups in the future to sue to have the N.M. ibex exterminated some day.

You can always go to Turkey and hunt them? Never say never!

Nice mount Scott!

Thanks, fellas..

I feel ya, sevenmagltd. This past draw was my 15th year applying for ibex.. I have been on SOO many others' hunts over there helping and I hoped this would be my year! But with the new non res quota, I think those days are long gone.
I'll be looking to Turkey from now on for my shot at a big Bezoar.

I was very, very lucky to draw a tag on my first try a few years ago. That is a wonderful little mountain range to hunt and move around in. Beautiful animal and wonderful mount. Thanks for sharing.
