Will I regret doing my polar bear (9.6") a rug instead of a lifesize...I just dont have the room, but just thinking of making it a carpet makes me wondering if im doing the right choice.

Yes you will regret it, find a place for it. do him on all fours that way it won't be so tall.

Anton,

I regret doing my Brown Bear as a rug. He actually takes up more room than he would have as a full body mount.

Do the mount my friend.

Cheers
Jim

Polar bear should be life sized. Just to cool. You will find room.

As Frostbit said, the rug will take up more space, on wall or floor. You may never get a chance at another one, life size all the way.

To me it depends on what you have for a trophy room/display area.

Something about a bear rug on the floor in front of a fire with snow outside speaks of comfort. That's what my bear rug does, and it goes up into storage after winter.

However, if you are doing a formal trophy room, the rugs just don't seem to fit in to me.

Probably my sense of decor (which is questionable) more than anything else.

Rugs are fine for the more common bears, but your Polar Bear demands a full mount.

It sounds like it's time to consult a architect for a room addition.

Anton,

I like my rugs a lot but they do take up a huge amount of room. I put most all of mine on the wall but once again you need a big wall. Take some careful measurements if you mount life size as I've known of a couple of people that can't get their life size bears through the doors in their houses.

Agree with Mark; sort this out completely before you decide. To me, either is a right choice...it's a Polar Bear!

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
