Karl Human Experience?

Hi

Just come back from my first safari in SA with Umlilo safaris and shot several trophies. My question is has anyone on here ever used Karl Human Taxidermists? I have entrusted my trophies to them and have had a couple of people say that they would never use them again as they ruined their trophies / lost their skins. Anyone else had good / bad experiences with them?

Best case scenario: cross your fingers. Never use a foreign Taxidermist you haven't done a lot of reseach on. Expect 8-10 months delivery if they're on top of things. What you get back may or may not be yours, and there's not much you can do about it. Use your photos to compare what you receive. Again, best of luck. LDK

Paul, there are many Hunters here on AR that have used African Taxidermists to their complete satisfaction. You should ask for referrals in the African Hunting forum as many of the guys (and ladies) won't check this forum very often. Good hunting, David

Thanks for the advice everyone. i hink that I'll have to just cross my fingers and wait and see what comes back from SA. We used Karl Humans taxidermist on the recomendation of our outfitter. Lets hope it all goes well.

The outfitter or PH recieves a "bonas referal fee" or kickback for his recommendations. Usually 5 to 10% of your taxidermy bill. This is becoming common also in the USA. Cann't blame the outfitter for taking it but I think its bad business and says allot to me anyway about the shops that offer it to get new business. If the mounts are bad are you going to take or ship them back and complain or just live with it?
