"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Not taxidermy, but this a cougar sculture, one of several sculptures I did for the Grand Teton Visitors Center in Jackson Hole Wyoming. The sculptures I did for this project are all free hand one of a kind sculpted in Winterstone.

That's a pretty stiff statement to make about Maryland taxidermists without knowing who you're referring to. For years Donnie Travis in Chestertown was the lead taxidermist for Remington Farms in Chestertown and still runs a huge operation there. Donnie Oliver from Charlotte Hall has won several national titles that I know of as well. Charlie Fegan out of Edgewater ain't no slouch and Parkers in Willards has been in business about as long as I have.

I'm certainly not in the class of these guys but I figure it doesn't take a rocket scientist to do one PRESENTABLE. LOL

Travis is very good and has the most impressive trophy room I've ever seen. I would not hesitate to recommend him based on the work he's done for me and what I've seen in his shop.

I've used Philip Soucy of Libby Montana for a number of cat mounts.
He is renowned for his cat work.

He took second place at the world championships with my Lynx mount...

He did this bobcat for me as well...

He did my Alaskan wolf as well...

My Brown Bear as well...

His big cats are incredible as well....

I highly recommend him.

That last shot of Phil's cat won him National Champion a few years back and is, in my opinion, the best cougar mount I've ever seen.
