This is one of the most innovative mounts I have ever seen. I like it. These are made by Jean Octobon, of Nice, France. Cool combination of tradition and modernity. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

I will cheer for the artistic talents...it's innovative and well done... However the practical side of me thinks is a waste of aluminum....gimme the whole buffalo!~ /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." That is way cool! Will have to think about that kind if mounting. Maybe for other species as well.

I like it as a one of a kind piece, not something I would want to see more than once. It appears well thought out anatomically. However, the horns, which are the true trophy, have become secondary to the armature.

I agree with Grafton. It's more of a piece of art than a trophy. A room full of "trophies" all on aluminum would be a disaster. "Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult."

That's great...now we have to worry about a Terminator Buffalo coming at us. I guess I'll have to buy a .700 using depleated Uranium bullets. That is very unique and innovative. Would look nice in certain settings, but not in a trophy room.

+1 The anatomy is spot on too. Whoever did this knew what they were doing. I can appreciate the workmanship in this piece.

As someone said above, out of ebony would be great. If it were a forest buffalo, making the same mount out of thin gauge and heavily rusted steel would also be neat. It certainly does not suit the standard huge and dark wood paneled trophy room we all dream of having...but if someone had a very modern styled home, I think it would look great. JMHO

I agree with those who say: One of a kind and no more than one per trophy room. More than one, coupled with decent lighting, might cause blindness. Still, I can see having that one. I really admire the creative genius that inspired the whole idea. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

In the right room it could be quite striking IMO. Hmmm has me thinking about a new office... On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. +1 I like the concept. ....but then again, aren't the eyes and the "I'm fixin' to stomp you into the ground..." look the best part??? There is room for all of God's creatures....right next to the mashed potatoes. http://texaspredatorposse.ipbhost.com/

Just think if your company name was something like "M'bogo International Ltd." And you had a great big board room with a fireplace that had a greenish slate chimney all the way to the ceiling. Perched solidly in the middle of the chimney that mount would say it all! the chef (and quite envious!)
