Adam was finally able to send my pictures today. He sent a pic of his buck (he's in orange), and the one his brother shot.

I dumped mine with a 300 RUM and a 200 AB bullet. He's not huge but a good one to take out of the herd as he does not have good backs or fronts. I shot the biggest deer I saw. I hunted second season. Adam and his brother hunted 3rd season. If I draw again next year it will be for third season. Too much going on here in November this year.

Hey Doc, Anyone claiming the Deer you shot isn't a good one is pulling a clinton on you.

Congratulations.

Looks like your brother got a HUGE Trophy. I'd guess you will be hearing about it from him for a good while. Wink

Beautiful bucks! Love to hear the stories that go with these pictures. Did someone shoot an eyeguard off?

Those are some nice ones. Congratulations and don't come to the Southeast since you may get dissappointed. We don't grow many like yours.

HotCore, the huge mulie was killed by Adam's brother.

T-T, GOOD EYE!! YES, Adam's brother did shoot the eye guard right off. Adam said that was the second shot. I really need to teach these guys how and what to shoot.

Before I can relay the story for Adam and his brother, I HAVE TO GET IT MYSELF! Adam is so busy right now, it's going to be awhile before we chat again. I already posted my story some time back before I had pictures.

Hey Boom: Your sig line says:

I guess I'm as skilled as they get. I took that buck at about 25 yards-ish.

Skidly: Load data for my 300 RUM, and the 200 AB: 89.0 grains of Re25, Fed and Rem brass. WLRM primer. Keep in mind, most of my hunting loads are not max, except in this case, the Rem brass is. However, the exact powder charge in the Fed brass isn't close, but it still shot amazing groups at 300 yards.

I've just never seen the evidence that a max load is needed to kill humanely. The only reason the animal might die quicker is because the bullet over a max load got there sooner. Razzer
