A friend and I are looking to hunt hogs in TX sometime in May or June 2008.

Preferences:

More than one hog allowed

Spot & Stalk -- no feeders or blinds

Western half of TX as close to AZ as possible since we'll be driving from Phoenix

I have met but not hunted with them -- check Mesquite Country Outfitters:

I know some folks in South Texas but it gets pretty hot down there at that time. If you like I can follow up with some of them.

Here's a thread from the Hog Hunting Board that has some other ideas too.

You should post this question up on the hog hunting forum. We have lots of Texas hog hunters that post regularly........

Tony,
I have a friend who runs hunts in SW Texas, but due to summer heat, they do it in March/April. It is a huge ranch(s) and you get 4 hogs and 2 javelina. It is a two or three day minimum @ $175 per day. Lodging is included but you feed yourself. If your interested, PM me and I'll send you his number.

Thanks guys. Looks like our plans have changed a bit since my hunting partner, who lives in UT, will be here in AZ on business in March. So it appears we will try to find a place to hunt over the weekend of March 21-24.

The closer to Tucson, the better, because that's where we'll be starting and ending our drive. -TONY

The best site I have found for hog hunting, period. Texas based, lots of outfits here, they can point you the right way.
