That Oregon bighorn sure got my attention. Good for the winner.

There ain't no critter worth that much.

Provincial/Tribal/state sheep tags are always expensive. So that wasn't much of a shocker.

The rest of the hunts were typical prices. Some were good deals but most were not.

Weatherby Award auction and sheep show are never the cheapest auctions.

YEP.

It's worth EXACTLY what someone is willing to pay for it.

We should be all happy for the money it brings for conservation and expansion of protected land and game animals

The Ft belknap tag went for $ 125,000. Their area doesn't have big sheep unless the Mt fwp transferred rams there.More than likely they will try & sneak down into breaks under darkness to get a ram. Will be tough for mt fwp to patrol as several years ago a warden was detained by tribal police on a county road. The governer had to get involved to fix the mess.

HVRhunter,

Is that the incident from the video?

Or was that BLM/Forest Service? Same issues, just different uniforms.

That’s not entirely accurate. We donated a tag and it shows it “sold” for $5000 but I know we raised at least $30k with it.
