ravenrsome don't make it and the "driveway" buck
coming home from looking at a job yesterday,
traveling a 17 miles streach of gravel road
thru the prairies of wyoming.
up ahead i can see scattered antelope and am looking for fawns as its the right time of year.
when i spotted the 4 golden eagles, sprinkled with ravens. I knew what i would find.
All part of the great wheel of life, but you can't help but cringe to think of the last 10 minutes of this little guys life.
Getting on my gravel lane and turning into the driveway, i spy the culprit who has been marking the end of my driveway as his own.
enjoy and safe travels
Boy, that is some fresh kill. Driving from Jackson to Cody and back last week we saw lots of game. A grizzly each way, plenty of elk and bison, bighorns right along the roadway and some new antelope fawns in Teton Park - it was awesome.
Sadly enough, I read in last weeks paper that the deer fawn survial rate for the Wyoming Range was as low as 25 percent.

SGraves155This is my "driveway-buck". He's about a month ahead of the usual development. Hope he doesn't get poached before season opens. I would like one of my handicapped buddies to get a shot at him:
