I once made a mistake of not reading regs; I had lived in the state and thought I knew. Well, regs are different for residents and nonresidents sometimes. That cost me a few bucks.

As for complaints, it takes a few before people start taking notice. Remember Llamapacker complained about Nixon (but only after he was "outed" on AR for not paying trophy fees). Well, you now book for the guy. That one opinion sure didn't change your opinion and this guy's won't change ours.

I almost got a ticket once in 2001 for not signing my tag (it was notched and I just plain forgot to sign it) after it was strapped and blood-soaked on the head of a pronghorn. I looked at the ranger and asked, "Do you really think I am going to re-use this tag in some way and that failing to sign it will enhance that possibility"? I was raised the son of a game ranger and wildlife manager so I know better than to not follow every letter of the law, but was a hair's breadth away from being cited for something trivial anyway. It can happen to anyone and sooner or later, if you hunt enough, it will probably happen without any malice or intent on your part. It's almost like wounding game....you can work to avoid it, you can pray it doesn't happen, but sometimes Diana takes a dump in your hunting boot.

I used the new Geovids in Pakistan, client had the Swarovskis. The new Leica's had better range (by about 200 yards), seemed like better glass (believe it or not) and had a second button that would tell you the angle of the shot and outside air temperature. They were a little heavier than the Swarovskis, but using a good bino harness negated that.

The Leica's get the edge in my opinion.

I just don't really like the EL range finding binos. I Love the Leicas and I really like the Zeiss

Been using the Leica Geovid for a year or so....no complaints for sure.

I had the Leica Geovids and I have since switched to the zeiss. To my eyes the zeiss has a friendlier eye box(I wear glasses). I think the zeiss tends to be a little bit more consistent on ranging animals. I looked through the swaro that a friend has and I had heck getting them to range. Im sure with some more practice I would get use to them. Pretty hard to go wrong with the zeiss, leica or swaro.
