It is an informative thread. I was educated greatly about some members here.

I voted no, only because everyone has the option of not reading the thread.

OK, it may not be along the lines of what everyone likes to see but
it was within the bounds of decency / not abusive.

I've got mixed feelings about it. Surely it's rediculous, just as the postings and trolling that got it started was rediculous. If it serves as a reminder to not go there again, then it serves a purpose worth remembering. Practcally everyone by now knows what it's about, and also knows it's not to be taken too serious, if it ever was. It's more like a big spoof to me, and I've tried to keep my postings there in good humor, moderate, and amuzing. I think it should stay, but also I would like to see the moderators close it to further posting.

It's over, and been over for some time. I know some may critize me for posting there, but I've had fun with it, and tried to not offend anyone seriously.

While I think the thread in question has gotten pretty infantile, my real beef is that the whole thing has bled over into so many other threads; threads where info was asked or shared and a good time was being had by all and then along comes the usual bunch to start sniping at one another. Why should a half dozen individuals be allowed to corrupt this entire forum.
I don't have a problem with some personality conflicts nor in a spirited defense of one's position but it can be done with a little more finess.

Rather than deleting these type threads, I would rather see a new "Pissing Contest" forum opened up and just have the moderators move them at their discretion, after the good information has evaporated. There is some good info, but for those that want to wade through, it could be a good spot.

But then again, I know I am taking the fun out of it.

1. There never was any intention on my part to have the thread deleted...(unless Saeed or DRG wanted to do so)

2. I have no such authority to do so nor ever suggested that I do nor do I want it.....

3. The entire purpose in this thread was to provide folks a thread to voice their opinion and to encourage it. At the rate of 59-24 folks agreed it's not in the spirit of AR....but it seems some folks want to continue the barrage.....so be it...apparently vengeance is sweeter than I imagined.

I DON'T open the "elk experience" thread after seeing that it was just a few guys trying to prove how "expert" they were by pounding on a guy that wasn't, but, as I posted elsewhere, if you folks want to have your own personal thread in which to conduct your little bitch fight, I'm okay with that if Saeed is. The problem is your little bitch fight has bled over into many threads that are of interest to the rest of us that come in here for the hunting, shooting, reloading, and conviviality. In other words, you and your ilk have become a pain in the ass.
