STUART SATTERLEE is a FRAUD, that is FACT totally proven by direct experiences by several people on AR, including myself.

HE is a total disgrace to the custom gun industry.

as for Satterlee product quality?...

I do have one of these. He needs to get the bolts back and get them re-heat treated. Seams one batch where too hard and he recieved an bolt back with cracked lugs.

I received a very nice hand crafted receiver from Stuart. I hate it if you had a problem.

Several people have had serious problems with Satterlee Arms, and those problems continue.
He remains dishonest and grossly irresponsible as a business operator.

as for Satterlee product quality?....

They would have had to vastly improved over the last one I bought to even make the bottom of the best 100!

They are strong and accurate.....everything else is a crapshoot.

On a positive note.....I've never had any trouble with Sako, Winchester M-70, or Remington 700.

There have been a lot of custom makers mentioned and the only one I've done any business with is Jim Kobe.....his work has also been superb.....but I suspert the others mentioned are on a par but I have no first hand experience with them.

Mannlicher Schoenauer before 1939!!! Big Grin

Among modern rifles I think Sako & Tikka are among the top.

As nice as the work of the gun smiths is/are.

They are not making rifles they are putting parts together and they do a very good job of that.

They do a great job of customizing them.

Unless they are taking raw steel and making them from it.

Very interesting indeed. Can anyone tell me who among the high end makers machine their own actions? I only know of Hartmann and Weiss and Prechtl Smiler

H-s Precision makes every component in their guns, all in house. Accurate, flawless and well made.
