yes the 358 is 9.1 and the 366 is the 9.3...thought this could be a fun counter to the 9,3 extended pinky snobs on this forum...(if your panties have just wadded up thats you

) all in good fun and tase i hope...a vent space to tell the greatness of the 35...a safe haven for 35 afficianado's wether it be the 350 rigby, 358 win 35 rem 350 rem mag, 358 norma, 35 newton, 35 whelen ect...
all in good fun torque...the american/english cousin of the 9,3
let the fun begin!...question what is the best 35 cart in your opinion?
my answer 35 newton..

.366torqueSounds good boom! I really like the 358 Norma. Sometimes I wish Winchester came out with that instead. It's one cart I've secretly been wanting for a long time.
I first heard of the 35 Newton, in an article about a 35 Belted Newton. It's essentially a 358 Norma.

boom stickyes, they are twins but if you use the ruger brass and form with newton dies you will exceed the norma or have lower preasure...figure 95 grains capacity approx and that is the safe estimate...the newton brass had strong thick webbing and ate up capacity. i could post the figure soon, i have a newtonized 375 ruger case here thanks to white bison

raybass35 whelen just because i have one.

Straight shootin to ya
The "best" .35s in my opinion are the short ones ... 358Win for the non-magnum hunter, 350RemMag for the belted fans.
Cheers...

pinotguy+1 on the 35 Newton - fantastic cartridge (and I own a Whelen).
Does anyone have any information on the Lazzeroni .358 - the 9.09 Eagle? Looks like a super fast short magnum, similar to the 35 Sambar.

Boomie, I know which pocket you keep your right hand in...don't need any of that stuff here.

vapodogIf there were no .358 s out there then no one would miss them!
The bullets should move from .338 to .375 and skip everything in between!

boom sticknah, you got it wrong...22 to 6.5 to 308 to 358 to 395 to 423 to 458 to 510! about a 40 thou jump with all. another reason for the 395!
19 April 2007, 19:19
.366torqueHaven't had it measured BUT, if a 308 is a 300, a 311 is a 303 and a 358 is a 350, then a 366 IS a 358!!!

Heh, can't sleep.

A blatant shot across the bow . . .

The one thing I've discovered since joining this forum is that it's certainly a territorial crowd.
Seriously though, I consider myself a big fan of the .35's, but I can see why they got "lost in the shuffle" here in the U.S.
